Young Explorer Robert Irwin Stops by Manila To Promote Wild But True atThe Exploreum

Kids nowadays would either be stuck doing common things and probably would be hooked on video games or the internet. But that situation is different with the son of the legendary Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, Robert Irwin who at only 11 years old is fast becoming a chip off the old block with his fascination with animals and science.

And at his young age, he is now part of an educational show about animals called Wild But True which airs on Discovery Kids. He recently visited Manila at the Exploreum at the SM Mall of Asia for a meet and greet and even did live experiments with a participating audience. Together with his family, his mother and his sister Dindi.

In the show, the wildest naturalist in the house, Robert Irwin teams up with Isabel Yamazaki, Discovery Kids’ resident science geek with all the info at her fingertips, to reveal how science has made mankind a true student of Mother Nature. The brand new show premieres every Tuesday at 5:00 p.m., starting 2 December. Encores are every Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Partnering with the EXPLOREUM as its venue for the naturalist’s show and tell, the Exploreum is a family-centered brand that believes in parent-children bonding activities that engage and mould curious minds through edutainment, (a term used for education through entertainment).

With 118 child-friendly all-new interactive exhibits and over 100 interesting nuggets of information situated in eight major interactive galleries namely the Natural World, Human Adventure, Zoom, Connect, Cyberville, Space Camp, the Living Earth, and Science Park plus the only full-dome Planetarium and a room-sized digital globe that projects images of the atmosphere known as the “Science on a Sphere”, the Exploreum was the perfect venue to launch the all-new, fun and educational show, Robert Irwin’s Wild But True Adventure. The adventurer’s show and tell was fittingly held in the Exploreum’s laboratory, which holds bi-monthly experiments for its Junior Science Members.

Committed to developing a driven, creative, and intelligent generation, The EXPLOREUM promises to take kids and adults alike on an interactive journey to the knowledge and understanding of the practical application and relevance of science in everyday life.
