REEL DEAL: Interstellar REVIEW

Space movies are not new to us, as well as the thousand of theories of the universe and man's endless desire to explore the vast universe which we only have gotten as far as the moon (or to some was believed it was a hoax). Thus our fascination with the stars grew and is a favorite genre for many of us. Now Christopher Nolan (Batman Trilogy, Inception) has come up with a new movie which is out of this world and will traverse the galaxy with a mission to save mankind.

The world in INTERSTELLAR is in the brink of peril as the earth begins to exhibit signs of changes that causes a large shortage of food. Cooper (McCounaughey) is an engineer and a pilot who became a farmer to support his family is tasked to be part of a space mission to explore new planets beyond the solar system to be the new earth.

The movie was filled with scientific theorems about time and space travel. From the theory of relativity, Quantum physics, intergalactic travel, as well as Murphy's Law. It also has that emotional depth with the connection of love and family. Though many of the laws and theorems are debatable, the plot was amusing. It has its own theories which are close to what researchers and studies has gone so far, making it not far from reality. So close and so emotional, I even shed tears because of the moving scenes.

INTERSTELLAR  stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Bill Irwin, and Ellen Burstyn.

INTERSTELLAR  will be showing in cinemas November 6! Distributed by  Warner Bros. Philippines

Deliberation time kids!

Show summary in 3 lines: Deep Space Science
Technical Effects: 5 out of 5 stars (They had some parts that are enhanced by technical details)
Plot: 5 out of 5 stars (Western movies is quite predictable, but side stories are interesting)
Acting and Actors: 4 out of 5 stars  (Best performance for McConaughey and Hathaway)
Music and Soundtracks:  5 out for 5 stars (The mix of songs and silence due to space makes the contrast of the musical lives versus the void of the beyond)
Pros:  SCIENCE, space, effects, yeah sometimes the Math and of course TARS!
Cons:  Conspiracy theories, earth background, the dark beginning scenes
Overall Rating: 4.8 out of 5 stars (Its the highest for the year and I am very confident it can also compete with great scifi movies of all time)
