#MerrySMChristmas2015 Opens With Disney's Season of Magic

SM’s Christmas Themes are the most anticipated events for the largest chain of malls in the Philippines, and it is spearheaded by the flagship branch of SM North EDSA, which was the original SM City. And when it reveals its look for the season, all the SM Supermalls follow suit. With the recent partnership with the Walt Disney company this year, it gives a hint that Disney characters, and movies will be featured.

For the kickoff, SM North EDSA showcased different Disney iconic characters like Mickey, Donald, and the gang at the "Disney Village" located at the Block. It was decorated with colorful houses which are the homes of Daisy, Goofy and Minnie. There is also a large Christmas tree with a Mickey design. The village is intended to be be a place to take selfies or groupies. Disney merchandise is also available in the area.






On the official launch, it made sure it would be grand and fun. The Disney Christmas Village  became a  magical place with treats as music is provided by Manila Philharmonic Orchestra with angelic voices of the Mandaluyong Children’s Choir. Disney theme songs were also played throughout the event. The Voice finalist, Morisette Amon provided a powerful culminating song along with SM executives and local government officials who celebrated the launch.

“Nothing is more heartwarming than seeing these starry-eyed kids have their moment with no less than Mickey and Donald,” said Jonjon San Agustin, SM Supermalls’ Senior Vice President for Marketing. “This is, after all, a season of giving for everyone, and that is what SM is offering throughout the country for the entire Christmas holidays.”

Elsewhere in other SM malls, grand Christmas centerpieces were also launched throughout the weekend, from November 6 to 8, featuring themes and characters from Disney, Disney Pixar, and international toy brands. These are: Frozen, Barbie, Cartoon Network, Toy Factory and 100 Elves, Snoopy and Charlie Brown, Nickelodeon, Disney Princess, Disney Junior, Adventure Time, Lego Christmas Adventure, and Sanrio Holiday.

These characters and centerpieces are available for all SM mall goers to see, have selfies or groufies taken with family and friends, for free all throughout the Christmas season.
