Recently launched last October 12, 2018, Novotel Manila Araneta Center’s General Manager Mike Brown warmly led the guests to a celebratory toast together with Madam Stella Marquez-Araneta and Araneta Group CEO Mr. Jorge L. Araneta.

“Sabor, an oasis in the cityscape inside the bustling Araneta Center, was created with our guests in our hearts offering competitively priced wines,” said Mr. Brown.

The red carpet event was graced by some of the hotel’s corporate partners and friends from the media who were delighted by the presence of three Philippine beauty queens Miss Supranational Philippines 2018 Jehza Huelar, Miss International Philippines 2018 Ahtisa Manalo and 2018 Miss Universe Philippines  2018 Catriona Gray.

No glasses were left empty with the overflowing drinks of red, white and sparkling wines, champagne, beer and Sabor Bar de Vinos’ signature sangrias namely, Sangria Blanco, Sangria de Rosa and Fortress de Sangria.

A taste of Sabor’s savory tapas were served in two separate buffet stations which included the comforting yet flavorful Galician Style Chicken Empanada stuffed with marinated chicken, herbs and aromatics married with olives and peppers; and the ultimate bar nibble, the deep fried savory Bitter Ballen made from imported veal meat mixed with parsley and onion. Menu tapas are great to share with prices starting at Php 350nett.

By its name Sabor, derived from the Latin word sapor or sapōrem, which means flavor, reflects that the bar itself, much like its interiors, serve bold, enticing and sensual delights. 

With over 390 wines on display at its glass wine cellars, one need not fret over what to pair your tapas with because the wine selection are categorized by Sabor or flavor varying from dry to light fruity crisp wines.

Sabor’s mixologists are always on deck to assist guests and provide options such as Novotel Manila’s choices of Spritz named after the hotels infamous NovoDogs, Chevron’s Italian Spritz and Judo’s Paw Spritz. All mixed drinks are only at Php 360nett per glass.

Easily located at the secondary lobby, right across the well-loved Indulge Gelato shop, more than 60 people can fit in for an intimate and relaxed vibe extending to its al fresco area where guests can enjoy fresh air to accompany their glass of wine. If you wish to set an exclusive party, the entire Sabor area can be booked for a consumable package of Php 60,000++ good for four hours.

Anyone who wants to enjoy a glass of bottled poetry are welcome from Tuesdays – Sundays, 5pm to 3AM.  

As its initial offering, guests have three additional options on how to savor their moment at Sabor. Every 5pm to 8pm, guests can get another complimentary glass for every order of Sabor’s signature sangria by the glass, get a free tapa for every order of a bottle of wine, or enjoy unlimited sangria or unlimited wine for only Php 700 nett.
