New TV Series TOLS Brings A New Generation 'Bro' Comedy

It has been decades since we had a sitcom on TV that can be compared to the classic "Palibhasa Lalake" which has made a mark in Pinoy TV. This 2022, a partnership between Tyronne Escalante Artist Management together with Merlion Events and GTV brings TOLS. This show is set to bring "bro" comedy on TV  that features rising stars and veteran comedians.

The cast include Olive May, Shaun Salvador, Abdul Raman, Kelvin Miranda, Rufa Mae Quinto, Betong Sumaya Jr., Arkin Del Rosario, Rolando Inocencio and Directed by Direk Monti Parungao. It will air on GTV starting June 27.  It's also a monumental show for GTV being its first sitcom.

The story revolves around the brothers Uno, Dos, and Third played by Kelvin, Shaun and Abdul respectively who will run a local barbershop. Ruffa Mae will play the mother of the three boys which is also her comeback to the Kapuso Network. Betong Sumaya also adds his brand of comedy to show. It will also feature a soundtrack called "machoman" sung by John Arcenas gives more macho vibes. 

The three brothers will face challenges with their business where all their lives will revolve. Direk Monti is delighted to work with the cast which he sees the potential to be great comedians.

There is a great mix of old school and new generation of comedic actors that will make up the show which will test if they can jive together and make comedic harmony, or it can be chaotic yet still funny to make it a unique sitcom. So far, the line up of the cast itself is a indication that this will be a fun series and not just kwentong barbero.
