GMA-7’s Binoy Henyo Down To Its Last Week - Cebu Promo Tour Set This Saturday

Before GMA Network’s heartwarming family drama series Binoy Henyo bids goodbye to its viewers, lead actress Sheena Halili together with co-stars Gwen Zamora, Lucho Ayala, and Luis Alandy are about to win more hearts as they make their way to the Queen City of the South for a promo tour.

On Saturday, September 14, Kapuso stars Sheena, Gwen, Lucho, and Luis banner a Kapuso Mall Show at the Gaisano Grand Mall Dumanjug in Cebu. They are set to perform before their supporters beginning at 3pm.

“Gusto naming samantalahin ang pagkakataong ito upang personal na makapagpasalamat sa walang sawang suporta at hindi matatawarang pagmamahal na ibinibigay ng mga Kapusong Cebuanos sa Binoy Henyo. Sana ay hindi sila bumitiw dahil sa huling linggo ng Binoy Henyo, tinitiyak namin na mas kapanapanabik na mga eksena ang aabangan nila,” says Sheena, who plays the role of Agnes, Binoy’s uneducated mother who loves him unconditionally.

Its fun to see a unique tandem of mother and son in a series especially when that kid is very smart, which is what Binoy Henyo brings to its audiences. The tandem of Agnes Santos (Sheena Halili) and Binoy (David Remo), is both cute and also lovable on screen even when the face problems.

If raising a child is difficult, having a gifted child is more of a challenge. Binoy, despite his age, proves to be resourceful yet keeps humble with his works. And like other kids, he is still fragile with his emotions especially he grew up never knowing his father. In the latest episodes, Binoy was able to meet his father Francis Sandoval (Luis Alandy) however he has a new family.

Everyone will also love characaters of Lola Chato (Nova VIlla), Josie (Rich Asuncion), Emily Sandoval (Gwen Zamora), Len-Len (Angel Satsumi), and the robot he built "Bibot".

Sheena Halili, nervous on her role as Agnes

Sheena Halili will play the role of Agnes, the mom of Binoy (David Remo). In the story, she fell in love with a man named Francis played by Luis Alandy. Unfortunately, they parted ways, leaving Binoy with his mom. She only finished second grade in school. Thus, having high hopes with regards to education for Binoy.

Like any other moms, she is willing to sacrifice everything just to give Binoy a bright future. 

On Sheena’s first taping for Binoy Henyo, she shared to us that there is no heaviness that was felt in the set. “Masaya and doon ko palang nakita yung kakulitan ni David, at magkasama kami buong araw. Masaya dahil napagaan din ng team na na-assign para sa show.”

This will be Sheena’s first time on being a mom for her role as Agnes that is why she cannot help but feel nervous to play the part. “Everytime nga na mageeksena ako, siyempre first time kong maging nanay. Lagi ko tinatanong ang Executive Producer namin, ‘Ganoon ba maging nanay? Tama ba yung emosyon ng pagiging nanay? Kasi siyempre ako, alam ko naman papaano malungkot, paano masaktan, pero hindi ko pa kasi naramdaman kung papaano yung sakit kapag yung anak mo yung malungkot.”
