Emotional Story Draws Director Marc Foster to Disney's "Christopher Robin"

Marc Foster, the acclaimed director known for his eclectic range of films—including “Finding Neverland,” “Quantum of Solace” and “The Kite Runner”—now returns to direct Disney’s heartwarming live-action adventure “Christopher Robin” starring Ewan McGregor and Haley Atwell.

Foster grew up loving Disney live-action films and was immediately drawn to the story of “Christopher Robin.” It had a sense of magic realism, and he believed it had the potential to become an artistic, emotional, funny and timeless film.

Disney’s “Christopher Robin” brings the timeless charm and nostalgia of A.A. Milne’s stories and characters to the big screen in an imaginative tale about the joy and purity of youth. Speaking to the child in all of us, the film is a gentle reminder to let some of those qualities infuse our adult lives.

Christopher Robin - The Wisdom of Pooh

Many of us are familiar with Winnie the Pooh and his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood. I grew up with the animated series which was fun for a kid like me back then. But we grow up and learn that the world is like in the cartoons. Yes, it is a sad reality for us adults and many of us have forgotten what  our childhood was, like Christopher Robin.

The child who played with the gang of Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga, and Roo has grown up to be a family man with a lot of responsibilities. He almost forgotten them by being too immersed with work that also affected his family. But suddenly Pooh shows up unexpectedly to ask Christopher to help him find their friends. The journey brings them on an adventure that transcends generations and places.
