The film is helmed by visionary filmmaker Luca Guadagdnino, known for his works Call Me By Your Name and Bones and All, and features stellar and powerhouse performances from main stars Zendaya, Mike Faist, and Josh O’Connor
In Challengers, Zendaya stars as Tashi Duncan, a former tennis prodigy turned coach and a force of nature who makes no apologies for her game on and off the court. Married to Art, a champion on a losing streak played by Mike Faist of West Side Story, Tashi’s strategy for her husband’s redemption takes a surprising turn when he must face off against the washed-up Patrick, portrayed by Josh O’ Connor of The Crown, who also happens to be Art’s former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend.
