The movie, billed as a “fantastical queer romance,” features 25 songs by the Indigo Girls, including “Power of Two,” a staple in high school playlists back in the ’90s, and “Closer to Fine,” which had a recent resurgence in popularity thanks to an iconic character singing the song during a road trip in last year’s “Barbie.” The Grammy-winning duo composed a new original song for the film as well, titled “What We Wanna Be.”

The Indigo Girls is a folk rock duo composed of Amy Ray and Emily Saliers. Said Saliers in an exclusive interview with Variety, “We immediately loved the script for ‘Glitter & Doom’ and became even more enamored as we watched the film grow and heard the production and arrangements of our songs,” said Saliers. “It’s an honor to be included in this artful and heartfelt story of misfits finding love.”
