REEL DEAL: Before "THE CONJURING” There Was “ANNABELLE”

Annabelle, the infamous doll at the center of one of paranormal experts Ed and Lorraine Warren’s most profiled cases, made her terrifying screen debut in James Wan’s box office sensation “The Conjuring.” Even while shooting the film, Wan and producer Peter Safran were already entertaining the idea that the not-so-innocent doll needed an entire movie of her own.

Wan, who has always been fascinated with the Annabelle case, says, “We know she’s so bad that, even after all this time, she still has to be kept locked up ...but, how did she get that way?”

Safran adds, “How does something so charming, so sweet, become a conduit for pure evil and destruction?”

REEL DEAL: Evil Doll “ANNABELLE” Conjures Main Trailer

She terrified you in “The Conjuring,” but this is where it all began for Annabelle. New Line Cinema has just unveiled the main trailer of its upcoming supernatural thriller “Annabelle” which may be viewed at http://youtu.be/E5NrTM-jl0k.

Capable of unspeakable evil, the actual Annabelle doll exists locked up in an occult museum in Connecticut—visited only by a priest who blesses her twice a month.

In the film, John Form has found the perfect gift for his expectant wife, Mia—a beautiful, rare vintage doll in a pure white wedding dress. But Mia’s delight with Annabelle doesn’t last long.

REEL DEAL: Unbox “ANNABELLE” In Creepy Teaser Trailer Poster

REEL DEAL: Chernobyl Diaries REVIEW

Even after 25 years after the ill-fated Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant Fallout, there are still a lot of things that haunt the imagination of the many people. The Ukrainian Government allowed people to visit the town near Chernobyl a few years ago as radiation levels have gone down. This gave way to come up with a great thriller story about the deserted area.

"Chernobyl Diaries" is an original story from Oren Peli, who first terrified audiences with his groundbreaking thriller, "Paranormal Activity." The film follows a group of six young tourists who, looking to go off the beaten path, hire an "extreme tour" guide. Ignoring warnings, he takes them into the city of Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor, but a deserted town since the disaster more than 25 years ago. After a brief exploration of the abandoned city, however, the group soon finds themselves stranded, only to discover that they are not alone...

REEL DEAL: Guni Guni - Behind The Scenes

Regal Films' goes Horror again this year with Lovi Poe, Empress Schuck, Benjamin Alves, for Guni Guni. We were behind the scenes of the pictorial for the movie with Lovi, Empress, Benjamin together with Julia Clarete, Gerald Pesigan and Ria Garcia.

It was also an opportunity to meet the stars and talk about their movie and what fans and viewers would be excited with this movie. Though we think that their beautiful faces won't scare us at all, but looking on the story would go, it may have this sinister and creepy plot that I could consider of a stick-to-the-mind horror. Directed by Tara Illenberger and will be shown on August 22.

REEL DEAL: Corazon Ang Unang Aswang - Bloggers' Presscon

Intriguing, interesting, exciting. This is the buzz that the movie, CORAZON ANG UNANG ASWANG has started since the announcement of its March 14, 2012 showing. And the adaptation has indeed escalated to the highest level as the biggest movie of the month is slated to open in a couple of days! Why all this?

Well, the trailer alone of CORAZON has elicited very positive reactions, comments and feedback via word of mouth and in social networking sites after it was launched some weeks ago. Most people found the plot very intriguing since it has been a while that a drama love story is set against a "black" backdrop. But Skylight films and Reality Entertainment stresses the beautiful dramatic love story is the movie's main theme. It's the unfailing and unconditional love between the two lead characters  that will spell out the difference!
Others find it interesting to note how the movie will depicit the folkloric "aswang" and tell its origin! The movie's director, Richard Somes reiterates however that this is his personal myth on the Philippine folklore. Now that's quite  more interesting alright!

REEL DEAL: Corazon Ang Unang Aswang SPOTLIGHT

This March Star Cinema  and Skylight Productions goes beyond with a love story that transcends into the dark and mystical realm. Corazon Ang Unang Asawang starring Erich Gonzales and Derek Ramsay  will definitely make the viewers feel  passionate couple love that will turn into a a violent and destructive monster, the first Aswang.

This will be Erich's first starring role as an aswang but the director was amazed on how she played a challenging role of a soon to be mother and into a frightening monster. Direk Richard Somes also mentioned that the movie does not rely on CGI and prostetics giving it that scary feel but with great make up and with the set that gives that strong scary feel.

Also in the movie are great veteran actors and actresses like Mark Gil, Techie Agbayani, Epy Quizon, Maria Isabel Lopez, Sharlene San Pedro, Mon Confiado, Mosang, Dan Alvaro, Hermie Concepcion, Sue Prado and Laiza Comia.
