In Dota 2, Filipino powerhouses Blacklist Rivalry and Execration have successfully advanced to the semi-finals, solidifying their positions among the elite.

Blacklist Rivalry, led by world-renowned midlane Abed Yusop, lived up to high expectations, dominating Group A with an impressive 4-0 record. The methodical gameplay was on full display as they systematically dismantled opponents, averaging only 30 minutes per match. Not merely a one-man show, offlaner Kim ‘Gabbi’ Santos similarly demonstrated exceptional form, accumulating 59 assists across their matches.

Be part of history as 26 teams from across the region compete for top honors in Dota 2 and VALORANT, including their share of a $200,000 prize pool and the highly coveted Predator Shield, in the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. 

The MOA Arena stage will witness epic battles between esports teams on January 13 and 14, 2024. Audiences will also get to watch never-before-seen musical stages and collaborations.

For the very first time ever, Acer ambassadors Sarah Geronimo and SB19 will perform “Ace Your World” live! The song #AceYourWorld, streaming on YouTube, was written and composed by Radkidz, the duo of John Paulo Nase (Pablo) and his brother, Joshua Daniel Nase. Through the song, Sarah G and SB19 hope to encourage everyone to stay strong despite the challenges they face in their lives.

Blacklist International, Team Secret, and other Filipino esports teams gun for victories over the region’s best at the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals

It is all systems go for the highly anticipated Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on January 13 and 14. Twenty-six (26) teams from across the Asia Pacific region will compete in Dota 2 and VALORANT for the coveted Predator Shield and their share of the $200,000 prize pool. 

The question is: How will Filipino teams fare in the tournament? 

For Dota 2, iconic teams Blacklist International, Execration, and defending Asia Pacific Predator League champions Polaris Esports will be joined by the winners of the Philippine qualifiers, Made in Philippines. 

For VALORANT, Team Secret, one of the most renowned teams in the VCT Pacific League, will be alongside Oasis Gaming and ZOL Esports, who both qualified during the Philippine Finals.

“It will be anybody’s game. Predator League is the stomping ground of the region’s up-and-coming esports talents. We are excited to see who is hungry enough for the victory to overcome the competition and win the Predator Shield,” said Sue Ong Lim, General Manager at Acer Philippines.

Intense esports battles and exciting musical acts collide at the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals

The countdown to the highly anticipated Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals has begun. Twenty-six (26) teams from across the Asia Pacific region will duke it out in front of a roaring crowd on January 13 and 14, 2024, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena for the honor and glory of lifting the coveted Predator Shield. Teams will showcase their prowess and mastery of two highly acclaimed game titles, Dota 2 and VALORANT.

Watch the action live and see which teams will reign supreme and bring home the glory. A combined prize pool of $200,000 is also at stake for the two tournaments. The Dota 2 and VALORANT winners will each take home $65,000. Second-place winners will get $20,000, while third and fourth-place winners will receive $7,500.

“The Predator League is a premier esports tournament in APAC and is the home ground of up-and-coming esports talents. We are very excited as this is the Philippines’ first time hosting the event offline,” said Sue Ong Lim, General Manager at Acer Philippines.

Polaris Esports Takes The Predator League 2022 Philippines Dota 2 Grand Finals Championship

DOTA 2 remains as one of the most competitive Esport in the world which is seen with the huge number of players and competitions that has built great teams both locally and internationally. And as one of the biggest Esports competition in the country, Predator Cup 2022 continues the excitement and intesity of the games with the Predator League 2022 Philippines Dota 2 Grand Finals Championship held at SM Mall of Asia Central Atriumlast September 18, 2022.

The semifinals and final matches brought the teams such as GrindSky Esports, Execration, Polaris Esports, and Atomic Esports. Returning for the second day to host this prestigious event, Justin “Vill” Villarasen and Allyza “Tayrawr” Taylor were joined by a lineup of talented casters and panelists: Erika Mei “Aki” Ilar, John “Johnxfire” Nathan Fernandez, Aries “Kalbz” Alejandro, Nathaniel “NaTan” Wicks, and Rain “Rain” Zerlyn Manaig.

Superstar Nora Aunor, to sit on ASOP Year 5 Grand Finals night seat of judges

The veteran actress, singer, and Philippine cinema’s superstar, Nora “Ate Guy” Aunor, is one of the biggest names in the Philippine entertainment industry who is expected to appear as one of the board of judges for UNTV’s A Song Of Praise (ASOP) Music Festival Year 5 Grand Finals. It will be held at Smart-Araneta Coliseum on the evening of November 7.

The UNTV-ASOP management choses Nora Aunor to give insights and critiques for the said big event because of her great dedication and priceless contributions, not only in Philippine’s movie films, but also in the music industry.

Aunor is a winner of almost 150 awards since she started her singing and acting career almost 50 years ago. Her first award was at the Darigold Jamboree singing contest where she became the champion with her winning piece “You and the Night and the Music”. It was followed by another championship award during the Tawag ng Tanghalan Grand National Finals on May 29, 1967 where she sang “Moonlight Becomes You.”

Four solo movers and five dance crews take the streetdance battle to the final level as they clash at the adrenaline-pumping and high-energy epic finale of Philippine TV’s first-ever streetdance competition, ‘Move It! Clash Of The Streetdancers’,  this Sunday (April 26), 8:00PM on TV5.

Battling for PhP 500K and the glory of becoming the first-ever ‘Move It’ King/Queen of Streetdance are Ang TV star-turned-Manouvers dancer Job Zamora, TV5’s ‘dancing princess’ Anykka Asistio,  multi-awarded and internationally acclaimed streetdancer Dhztine Bernardino and professional dance choreographer, Manouvers dancer and teacher RJ de Claro. Job, Anykka, Dhztine and RJ proved that they were Move It’s best-of-the-best after battling against six other solo movers --  matinee idols and celebrity dancers John Wayne Sace and Sergio Garcia, commercial model Charlotte Hermoso, TV5’s very own Chris Leonardo, Wowowillie back-up dancer Lovely Abella and Mocha Girl Anne Sotelo. Each week, they were assigned different performance themes which explored the different genres and dancing styles in hip-hop and streetdance. The said themes proved their versatility as dancers and their mastery over their craft.
