MediaQuest Holdings, TV5, and Nine Media Corporation Enter Content Distribution, Sales & Marketing Agreement to Launch RPTV

Broadcast leaders MediaQuest Holdings, TV5, and Nine Media, through Nine Media’s airtime agreement with RPN, have sealed a landmark collaboration to launch RPTV, the newest free-to-air channel offering sports, news, and entertainment designed for all members of the Filipino family.

TV5 Upgrading Reach Across The Philippines

In cooperation with Mediaquest, TV5 continues to expand its reach to serve viewers in more areas of the country.

Coverage has been improved in the provinces of Cebu, Negros Occidental and Guimaras in the Visayas as well as in the cities of Davao, Cagayan de Oro, and General Santos in Mindanao.

This follows earlier efforts to expand TV5’s reach in various areas, including Quezon City; Laoag, Ilocos Norte; Capas, Tarlac; Naga, Camarines Sur, Puerto Princesa, Palawan, and parts of Batangas Province.  

This June, TV5 has fired up new transmission towers to serve the areas of Kalibo, Aklan; San Jose, Mindoro; and Tuguegarao, Cagayan.  

TV5 then intends to bolster these efforts in the month of July by strengthening its reach in Olongapo, Zambales; the Southern Tagalog provinces of Laguna, Cavite and Batangas, as well as Baguio, and Mountain Province.

TV5 rings in the New Year with more fun and surprises with Sing Galing’s wildcard edition: Sing Galing Sing Back-Bakan. Recently debuted on January 3, 2022, the new edition of the Original Videoke Kantawanan ng Bansa features familiar faces from previous episodes who have left unforgettable impressions among the ka-awitbahays.

Introduced as Team Balik, the most talked about and well-supported singtestants who were not able to join Team Galing last year but were able to leave a fond memory among the ka-awitbahays, are coming back for the title. Each episode follows the accustomed 3-round format: Randomising: Pang-Sing-Galingan, Hula-Oke Jukebosses Edition, and the final round, Duel-Oke Face-Off Edition. Among four singtestants per level, one will be hailed as the Team Balik Bida-Oke Star of the Night who will immediately move forward to the next stage of Sing Back-Bakan, for an everyday nonstop Duelo-han.

TV5 Sing Galing’s Now Zending Zikat Hosts Virtual Event for Victims of Typhoon Maring

Sing Galing: Sing-Lebrity Edition’s digiverse known as Now Zending Zikat will be having a benefit online event called, “Now Zending Zikat with Love,” that aims to raise funds for the victims of Typhoon Maring through the Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc. 

Be serenaded with exciting performances from Team Galing and  special guests with the theme, “Mapusong Pasingkatan,” and be ready to fill your night with love and melodies hosted by none other than Zendee. This event will be live streamed through Sing Galing and TV5’s social media accounts this Saturday, October 23, at 5PM. 

Joining Zendee in this special event for-a-cause is Menchie Silvestre, Executive Director of Alagang  Kapatid Foundation. Together with her team, they will assist kaawitbahays who are interested to pledge donations for typhoon Maring victims through Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc.

Mobile services brand TNT has teamed up with TV5 in promoting Pinoy pride with Popinoy, a nationwide reality talent show in search for the country's biggest Pop Boyband.

Popinoy is the first nationwide reality talent show that will follow the journey of aspiring Filipino boy band members as they vie for a spot to be the next Pinoy Pop Idols.

Big local celebrities are set to join as judges and hosts for the all-new reality show, which has been created by top-notch producers and content creators in the industry— including Archangel Media's President and CEO, director Mike Tuviera.
