Rated Korina Gets Up-Close And Candid With The Presidentiables

With the presidential elections barely three months away, netizens have been all agog with the barrage of past media interviews featuring top presidential candidates led by Senator Ping Lacson, Vice-President Leni Robredo, ex-Senator Bongbong Marcos, Senator Manny Pacquiao, and former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.

For a refreshing change of pace, multi-awarded broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez-Roxas offers an intimate and candid glimpse into the private lives of these future leaders in her Rated Korina special episode dubbed “Upuan ng Katotohan,” airing this Saturday, February 5, 5:00pm on A2Z Channel 11, 7:30pm on TV5, 10:30pm on Kapamilya Channel, and Sunday, February 6, via OnePH, 7:00pm.

7-Election is On, Who is Your Presidentiable?

It has been a very hectic and toxic election season, along with the raging heat of El Nino makes it a really heated campaign figuratively and literally. We also have our own bets who will be the next President of the republic. And what great way to show support to our favorite presidentiables and beat the heat is getting refreshed with 7-eleven's unique campaign called 7-Election.

With 7-Eleven’s informal and unofficial presidential poll involving not vote-counting machines but GULP® softdrinks and GULP® juices in fun-colored GULP® cups, you can now promote and support your presidential candidate in a fun way. The 7-Election 2016, which mainly aims to promote awareness about the coming Philippine Presidential Election, runs in all 7-Eleven stores until May 2.

Boboy Syjuco Files Case Against SSS Veto

With the controversial veto of the SSS Pension increase for pensioners, the public is not happy with this move of the President. Among the other bills that were passed and officially became a law, this particular benefit legislation prevented the additional 2000 pesos with the current pensioners would get each month. Their reason is that when implemented, it will cause the bankruptcy of the SSS in the future.

This also made Presidentiable Boboy Syjuco mad with the move, as a congressman himself, a bill has gone through rigorous deliberation and approval before it would reach the final signature. Among the other candidates, he was the first one to file a case against the veto that has become a national issue.

Boboy Syjuco Vows Fastest Internet For National Progress

Among the presidentiables today, there has been a lot of issues going on but there wasn't one who has a platform for internet reform. As the biggest market in the world for Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) and growing e-commerce and online demand, the country faces one of the poorest broadband service as well as the slowest LTE connection in the world. Such a contrast to the potential investment and revenues the county, and the people can benefit from this technology.

Presidential aspirant Augusto "Boboy" Syjuco, the former secretary for TEDSA, current congressman of the 2nd District of Iloilo, and presidential candidate of KBL has laid out a 15-day implementation of platforms that will revolutionize the county. Among them is Day 7 which will aim for the fastest internet connection that can rival power communication powerhouse like Singapore and Japan with speeds around 60-70 Mbps.

My Choice... hope it will be yours too ...

I have finally decidecided with the president and vice president but my senatoriable list is still not complete but here are my some who could make it to the list. For now these are my confirmed choice. I have been researching and deliberating their ability and effectiveness if ever they will be elected. Like Gordon, which I have chosen because he has proven himself and also shown results with all the positions he held. I like in a candidate  who is a visionary and also an innovator. The Gordon-Bayani team have proved their worth. The problem for me would be completing the senatorial list and the local positions.

So far I am supporting these candidates:

Dick Gordon for PRESIDENT
Bayani Fernando VICE-PRESIDENT

I hope to complete the list soon...

Know Your Leaders Before Shading That Ballot!

  • I guess its time that my blog could make a difference, but for the record even I have my own set of candidates for this elections, my instinct as a Filipino says that I could make a difference while being non-partisan. This by voters' education via my blog. For now I am working on the project KNOW YOUR LEADERS, a segment that will give a comprehensive and unbiased profiling of the national candidates. I know its a tough job and election is almost around the corner, but I feel that I could at least make a difference in giving the candidates a fair share of informing them to the public. Sounds patriotic? I don't think so, Its just my duty even though I may be struggling also. Just like JFK said "Ask not what you country can do for you, but what you can do for your country".
  • I guess this will also shed light to undecided voters to know about them before shading the ballots. And even this project is for national candidates, I think it may take a lot of work in research and verification. So far, I think it would also help me in my decision too. I would just ask is support and valuable information are also highly appreciated.
