PASIG CITY – To recognize the unique role, service and commitment that teachers play in strengthening communities and building the nation, the Department of Education (DepEd) hosted a celebration honoring teachers, educators,professors, education officials, and other education stakeholders on October 5, 2013 at the Phil Sports Arena (formerly ULTRA). With the theme “My Teacher, My Hero,” the event is in line with the international celebration of World Teachers' Day
