The robot Roz (voiced by Nyong’o), finds herself stranded in the wilderness and unsuited for the journey as a machine for futuristic city life. . “I hope that audiences relish the beauty, adventure and emotion of this movie,” Nyong’o says. “It’s not afraid to pull at your heartstrings, and I hope audiences enjoy that ride. Ultimately, the message of The Wild Robot, both the book and the film, is that kindness is an innate quality we should hone, and there’s value in staying true to yourself while embracing change.”

The Wild Robot is ultimately a story of life, loss, and unexpected bonds, as Roz is thrust into the role of a parent when a baby gosling, Brightbill, hatches and bonds with her. Voicing Brightbill is Heartstopper actor Kit Connor, with him bringing complexity to the role. “Brightbill is on a journey of self-discovery,” Connor says. “At the start of the film, Roz is an unfeeling robot. Brightbill teaches her about kindness and love, and in turn, their mother-son relationship continues to grow stronger as the story progresses. Their evolving connection not only brings warmth to the story but also emphasizes the power of empathy and understanding in overcoming challenges. And that love and kindness that Roz learns eventually helps them both succeed. Throughout the film, we see him growing more confident and learning to love the things that make him different.”

Step into the world of The Wild Robot as it opens in Philippine cinemas on October 9.

Big city, same rules. John Krasinski explores what it’s like for New York to go silent in “A Quiet Place: Day One”

While developing the next installment for the captivating world of A Quiet Place, producer and writer John Krasinski found himself wanting to see how the rest of the world is dealing with this otherworldly crisis. “I especially wondered how people in a big city like New York, with all the chaos and noise there, all the millions of people, would respond,” he says.

This idea formed into A Quiet Place: Day One, where an ordinary day in New York City turns horrific as creatures rain down on Earth and start slaughtering humans indiscriminately. “I wanted to take a place we all know and put it in extraordinary circumstances,” Krasinski explains. “New York City, whether you’ve been there or not, whether you like it or not, is instantly familiar. And in a world where murderous creatures can appear at any time, from any place they detect a noise, New York is not the best place to be.”

Black Panther - It's Time For Wakanda

Heroes has been dominated mostly by Americans and Europeans, but when it comes for Africans, we barely see them in the spotlight. Now that more heroes are revealed under the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it is time for Black Panther to leap into cinemas this month.

Black Panther was formally introduced to the MCU with Captain America: Civil War as part of Team Iron Man. And with positive reception from the audience, it was expected that the standalone film will be a hit as well. Of course, being part of a (fictional) country with international affairs would mean being political and power struggle will be present.

"Black Panther" Leaps from Page to Screen in New Featurette

Watch Black Panther go from comic book to the big screen in an all-new special featurette that's just been launched by Marvel Studios.

The video shows producer Kevin Feige explaining what makes the title character such an enchanting and exciting figure, along with director Ryan Coogler and star Chadwick Boseman sharing their take on the comic book creation of Jack Kirby and Stan Lee.

Lupita Nyong'o Lends Voice to Wolf, Raksha, in "The Jungle Book"‏

Raksha, a loving and fiercely protective mother wolf, cares deeply for all of her pups—including man-cub Mowgli (Neel Sethi), whom she adopts as one of her own when he’s abandoned in the jungle as an infant.

Oscar® winner Lupita Nyong’o (“Star Wars: The Force Awakens”) was called on to help bring Raksha to life, in Disney's new family adventure “The Jungle Book,” based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories and inspired by Disney’s classic animated film.

“We relied a little more on Kipling when it came to Raksha,” says director Jon Favreau. “The wolves have a much greater significance in his stories, which was important to me.”

“I just love my character,” says Nyong’o. “She is the protector, the eternal mother. The word Raksha actually means protection in Hindi. I felt really connected to that, wanting to protect a son that isn’t originally hers but one she’s taken for her own.
