Avengers:Infinity War Cast Surprised Us On Marvel Fans Day!

It was supposed to be a regular Marvel fans day for the anticipation of Avengers: Infinity War at SM Cinema in Megamall, but it turned out to be more epic than that. We were  usually expecting to have a day of cosplay, giveaways, prizes and some trailers. But we were treated to something more that shocked us.

But before the revelation, there was also a moment for great cosplayers who nailed it in their costume bringing to life their favorite characters in the MCU. Impressive and notable cosplayers for me include Iron Man, Rocket Raccoon, Baby Groot, Proxima Midnight and of course, Thanos. Giveaways were also a win with many merchandise from partnered brands like Goldilocks, Folded and Hung, Alaska, and GMovies.

Experience paranoia in new movie ‘A Quiet Place’ at SM Cinema

Lean back in luxury at the Director’s Club as you watch the newest horror-thriller movie, A Quiet Place.

For most of us, silence can be a welcome break from our busy lifestyles. But in the case of the Abbott family, silence is survival. When creatures that hunt by sound threaten their lives, this family of four must learn to communicate with each other and fight for their lives while living in complete and utter silence; one wrong move and the life of a loved one is put at risk – because if they hear you, they hunt you!

A Quiet Place - Scary Silence That Makes You Mad In Fear

Preapare for ultimate silence.

Dystopian films may have been too saturated these days but there is still room for one more which was is shockingly silent.  A Quiet Place is a film by John Krasinski who also stars in the film along with his wife Emily Blunt. And it was shockingly quiet inside the cinema when I watched it 2 times.

Set in future where sound sensitive creatures caused rampage and the Abbot family strives to survive in their remote home. The setting may not be global like other films but it takes silence to a maddening level with sudden music scores that will induce a heart attack.

With silence also means less dialogues for the actors which will test their acting prowess in may situations. Millicent Simmonds, who plays the daughter,  is actually a deaf-mute actress who helped the cast in learning the American Sign Language. Despite less spoken words, it gives way to more action and suspense that the film actually delivered.

Witness the power of faith in “Paul, Apostle of Christ” Exclusively in SM Cinema

This Lenten season, witness the all-too-real story of “Paul, Apostle of Christ,” at SM Cinema.

Purveyed in the perspective of the Apostle Luke, the film depicts Paul in the midst of a brutal Roman campaign against religion, persecuting all those who share the faith and preach the word of the Lord through the most gruesome methods ever devised.

Paul, is held prisoner and sentenced to death by Roman Emperor Nero. Luke, risks his life to visit him and there decides to write another text containing the beginnings of “The Way” and the start of what will later be known as the Church.

Paul, Apostle of Christ - Faith That Moves

Religious films is probably the most complicated films to be made. This is because it has to be precisely balanced to present it characters in portrayals that are not hard-selling religion which makes it spirituality like an advertisement more than message. Paul, Apostle of Christ proved that spiritual films can be artistic and moving.

Produced by Affirm Films, which made Christian Films like Fireproof and Risen, the film shows the fiinal days of St. Paul who has been travelling far and wide to build Christian communities and preach the gospel. Jim Caviezel who played Jesus Christ in Passion of the Christ is St. Luke here which somehow still has his impression of the Messiah without the Aramaic language.
