Music Artists Rock the Philippine Premiere of "Yesterday"

They rocked, we rolled.  Pinoy music artists celebrated Beatlemania in the star-studded Philippine premiere of Universal Pictures’ Yesterday, held recently at the Gateway Atmos Cinema in Quezon City.   

Guests came for the love of the Fab Four whose timeless music figures prominently in the acclaimed romantic comedy starring Lily James, newcomer Himesh Patel and pop superstar Ed Sheeran.

Lily James in "Yesterday": When Friendship Takes a Romantic Turn

Hot-off two acclaimed musical films Baby Driver and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, Lily James now stars in Universal Pictures’ new music-filled romantic comedy Yesterday.

James first came to prominence on the small screen starring as Lady Rose MacClare in Downton Abbey before making the leap into film with Wrath of the Titans. Her career has continued to flourish, and with recent critically acclaimed performances in Darkest Hour, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and Baby Driver, she was a canny choice to play Ellie, the young schoolteacher/manager/long-suffering friend of Jack Malik (Himesh Patel).

Crowd-Pleasing Rom-Com "Yesterday" Holds Sneaks July 15 & 16

Critics are calling it the “feel-fantastic movie of the year!”  Be among the first to watch Universal Pictures’ Yesterday as it holds special, whole-day sneak previews on July 15 & 16 in selected cinemas nationwide.

The sneaks are designed to give Beatles fans and romantic-comedy squads an early treat as Yesterday is due to open wide across the Philippines on July 24 yet.

Tickets to the sneaks will be at regular admission prices.  Moviegoers are advised to check the social pages of their favorite cinemas for the screening schedule.

"Abominable," "Ma" & "Yesterday" Launch New Posters

Universal Pictures has just unveiled the new one-sheet artworks for three of its highly anticipated films of the year -- the suspense thriller Ma starring Octavia Spencer, the rock-and-roll comedy Yesterday and the animated comedy adventure Abominable.


Check the posters below and watch Ma in Philippine cinemas on June 19, followed by Yesterday on June 26 and Abominable in September 25.
