Meet the Mormons examines the very diverse lives of six devout members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Church of Latter-day Saints).

Meet the Mormons is a touching, newly released documentary that examines the life of six different members of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (The Church of Latter-day Saints) from around the globe. A humanitarian, a football coach, the Candy Bomber, a fighter, a bishop, and a single mother all let their daily lives be filmed to show that religion and color should not be barriers to happiness. The individuals featured answer some tough questions as they are interviewed, letting the viewer get an inside peek into their world.

Filmed on location and across the globe, Meet the Mormons takes viewers on a journey into the day-to-day realities of individuals living in the U.S., Costa Rica, Nepal and beyond. From their individual passions to their daily struggles, each story paints a picture as rich and unique as the next while challenging the stereotypes that surround the Mormon faith.

Child survival rates in Metro Manila improved by 50% says Save the Children’s State of the World’s Mothers report

Philippines ranked 105 out of 179th in best and toughest places to be a mom​

Manila, Philippines– Metro Manila was among top cities in the world to cut child mortality rates among urban poor, according to 2015 State of the World’s Mothers global index published by Save the Children.

The annual global mother’s index report reveals that in the last 20 years, child survival rates among the urban poor in Metro Manila, have improved in comparison to other developing countries. Between 1993 and 2008, the child mortality rate went from 81 to 38 deaths per 1,000 lives deaths. Over this period of time, the poorest urban children went from being 4 times as likely to die to being twice as likely to die compared to their wealthy peers.  The capital region has also achieved about 4% reduction in under-5 mortality per year since 1998.

The latest vlog from the set of “Spectre” has just been released and focuses on a car chase in Rome between the Aston Martin DB10 and the Jaguar C-X75.

REEL DEAL: Young Actor David Henrie Stars In “PAUL BLART: MALL COP 2”

David Henrie, known for TV's “Wizards of Waverly Place” and playing the son on “How I Met Your Mother,” co-stars with Kevin James in Columbia Pictures' action-packed family comedy “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.”

The sequel, directed by Andy Fickman, follows the overzealous Paul Blart who attends a security guard expo in Las Vegas with his daughter. Despite being teased by casino security and other attendees, he stumbles upon a heist only he can trip up with the aid of his trusty Segway.

Paul Blart's daughter, Maya, is once again played by Raini Rodriguez. While in Vegas, Maya meets Lane, played by David Henrie. Rodriguez says it’s one more way that her character is coming of age. “We kind of have a moment together, and throughout the movie you see us kind of flirting on and off – and Paul Blart is not happy about that, because it means his baby girl is growing up,” she says.

Star Wars Fans Join Road Safety Advocacy

The Philippine Garrison of the 501st, an international organization of Star Wars fans who dress up as the villains from the film franchise, supported the cause of #SaveKidsLives.org by promoting road safety messages at the “Fans of the Force” event held at SM Southmall, May 1, 2015.

The event launched the celebration May the 4th which is considered Star Wars Day by fans of the franchise all over the world. Locally, the “holiday” is spearheaded by The Philippine Garrison of the 501st.  Known as the Bad Guys Who Do Good, members of the 501st wear their costumes at events in order to raise funds for charity, especially children's causes.
