Champions Darren and Sassa Are Proud To Be Part of Vivo

The Voice Kids Philippines alumni Darren Espanto and Sassa Dagdag are just starting. Even with albums and rewards under their names, these young singers’ careers have nowhere to go but upward. Darren, who finished second at the Voice Kids PH inaugural season, has two albums and a multitude of awards under her belt while Sassa, finalist of the show’s 2nd season, just recently launched her debut album and is enjoying a string of gigs and live performances. Darren and Sassa are also proud members of the Vivo Family, a roster of the top smartphone brand’s influencers. Both were introduced as part of the Vivo Family September last year.

Vivo celebrates Chinese New Year with the CNY Photo Contest

To celebrate the Chinese New Year this 2018, Vivo launched a special photo contest but first involving a few well-known lifestyle bloggers for a first taste. Held last February 3 and 4 at Binondo in Manila, Vivo invited 18 lifestyle bloggers forn eventful photowalk around the oldest China town in the world. Bloggers were asked to capture photos that embody the Chinese culture may it be the food, the ambiance, the traditional lucky ornaments, or Binondo’s old charm as a whole.

The main highlight of the event is the RUNRIO Trilogy Awards. This is intended to recognize the last year’s runners who completed the 2017 RUNRIO Trilogy Series where they completed the three-leg race series namely, 21k, 32k, and 42k that happened last June 25, August 31 and October 1, respectively. The awards will not only recognize the participants but will also honor the fastest and the oldest finishers. All awardees will receive a limited edition medal hanger.

Domhnall Gleeson Meets His Match in "Peter Rabbit"

British actor Domhnall Gleeson stars as the fussy landlord Thomas McGregor in Sony Pictures Animation's Peter Rabbit, the new family comedy which brings all of the audience-favorite Beatrix Potter characters to the screen in a brand-new, modern adventure.

In the film, Thomas McGregor has risen through the ranks of London’s famed department store Harrods, working diligently – some might say obsessively – towards the post of Associate General Manager, only to find that the position has gone to a man who doesn't deserve it. When he inherits the McGregor manor (and its attached vegetable garden), Thomas sees a chance to sell it in order to finance his own toy shop.

Celine Dion Concert Sold Out, Second Show Added

Tickets for CELINE DION LIVE 2018 IN MANILA scheduled for July 19 went on sale to the public on January 18 and sold out within days. Black Panther - It's Time For Wakanda

Heroes has been dominated mostly by Americans and Europeans, but when it comes for Africans, we barely see them in the spotlight. Now that more heroes are revealed under the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it is time for Black Panther to leap into cinemas this month.

Black Panther was formally introduced to the MCU with Captain America: Civil War as part of Team Iron Man. And with positive reception from the audience, it was expected that the standalone film will be a hit as well. Of course, being part of a (fictional) country with international affairs would mean being political and power struggle will be present.

"Black Panther" Breaks Record for Year's Biggest 1st-Day Gross in PH

Marvel Studios' Black Panther opened Wednesday, Feb 14 in the Philippines and scored the year's biggest first-day gross to-date with a staggering P45.10-M in box-office sales.

Comparatively, the Wakandan King outperformed the opening day numbers of recent Marvel titles, including 2015's Ant-Man (by 235%), 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy (by 183%), 2016's Doctor Strange (by 124%), 2014's Captain America: The Winter Solidier (by 63%) and last year's Thor: Ragnarok (by 41%).
