New OPM Musical “GEEGEE AT WATERINA” Sets Audition On May 25

Artist Playground will hold auditions for its forthcoming original Pinoy musical “Geegee at Waterina ” on May 26 – 7 pm onwards at 112 Arts Above, West Avenue QC ( beside McDonald’s ).

The production is looking for Males – 20-35 years old. Can sing and dance. Preferably with ‘ hunk ’ physique. Bring photos and music material.

With book and lyrics by J. Dennis C. Teodosio, “Geegee At Waterina” was first presented at the CCP Virgin Labfest in 2005. A short film version was produced for Cinemalaya in 2006.

The roles of GEEGEE AT WATERINA will be portrayed by Norman Penaflorida and Roeder Camanag respectively.

Myx TV’s “Mom vs Matchmaker” wins for Best Reality-Based Program in WorldFest Houston

Myx TV, the leading English-language Asian American entertainment network, continued its winning season this year when its show, Mom vs. Matchmaker, won the Platinum Remi Award at 51st annual WorldFest for Best Reality-Based Program in Houston, Texas.

Mom vs. Matchmaker is a series focused on finding the perfect match for millennials. Matchmaking professional Carmelia Ray challenges the mothers of the contestants in finding a suitable date for their kid. Each will set up a date in the hopes that their pick will be chosen. The singles find out at the end of the episode who prepared which date.  

Founded over 50 years ago as an international film society, WorldFest became the third competitive international film festival in North America, following San Francisco and New York. It is also the oldest independent film and video festival in the world.  As one of the oldest and largest film and video competitions globally, it drew over 4,500 entries from over 43 countries this year.
