Two world leaders go rogue to save the planet in this explosive, fast-paced thriller.
When Air Force One is shot out of the sky, the U.S. President and U.K. Prime Minister are forced into an unlikely partnership. Former movie star-turned-president Will Derringer (John Cena) and career politician Sam Clarke (Idris Elba) have nothing in common—except that they’re being hunted by a ruthless adversary and cut off from their governments. With MI6 agent Noel Bisset (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) as their only ally, the pair must survive on the run and stop a global conspiracy before it's too late. Heads of State, the latest action-comedy blockbuster, will stream exclusively on Prime Video on July 2.
Heads of State is directed by Ilya Naishuller (Nobody) and written by Josh Appelbaum & André Nemec and Harrison Query, from a story by Query. The film also stars Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, Stephen Root, Sarah Niles, Richard Coyle, and Paddy Considine.
“The number one reason I wanted to do this film was I really like working with John Cena,” said Idris Elba. “John is a consummate professional and one of those very multitalented people who can do so many different things well. He perfectly layered that sort of fish out of water who can look quite presidential and be a bad arse at the same time.”
