REEL DEAL: Police Story 2013

Jackie Chan said that Chinese Zodiac would have been his last film in his career, but alas there there is another action movie that stars Jackie as its lead and also a producer. Police Story 2013 is another reincarnation of the movie series which launch his career back in the day.

Here, Jackie Chan is Detective Zhong, a police officer which he stated that despite doing a lot of police role this will be the first doing a mainland-based officer. He is searching for his daughter Miao Miao who has a club owner boyfriend. But things get complicated as it turns to be a trap to all those involved with a incident years back.

Though with a more darker, serious approach, it is still an action-filled, thriller that still keeps the elements that we all love from Jackie Chan. I don't care if this is truly the last movie he will be in. Because it has been his life and passion, he would still have that want to make and participate in the movies he will be doing. And as we all know that Jackie is never forever young, but with his moves  in this movie, you would think, he still got it and tried something new.

I have to say that this can be one of the best from him, which I enjoyed versus his last one. And retirement would be sweeter if you made a quality and graceful exit. But more than Jackie, his co-stars also shone through with this film particularly Wen Liu Ye as Wu Jiang Jing Tian as Miao Miao.

Police Story 2013  also stars Yu Rongguang, Zhang Lanxin, Wang Zhifei as Officer, Fang Zhang Xiaoning as Wu's father Guli Nazha as Xiao Weiis . Brought to you by Magnavision Philippines Jackie and JJ International. Now Showing in Theaters nationwide.

Deliberation time kids!

Show summary in 3 lines: Jackie Chan Forever!
Technical Effects: 4 out of 5 stars (For Chinese Films, I don't have high expectations, but this is hollywood worthy for its effects)
Plot: 4 out of 5 stars (Different from the Police Story plots before gave more human emotions and real life stifes gets my approval)
Acting and Actors: 4 out of 5 stars  (Wen Liu Ye and Jing Tian are my favorites here)
Music and Soundtracks:  2 out for 5 stars (I have to say this would be the thing they should have improved on, not because its Chinese, but some melodies don't fit the situation )
DVD Worthiness: YAY! (hope it includes a "Belt")
Pros:  Characters,Plot, Production Design, After credits
Cons:  Soundtrack,
Overall Rating: 4.1 out of 5 stars (Even it may be a little serious, Jackie trying new things and the whole production did a great job)
