REEL DEAL: Sa Ngalan Ng Ama Ina At Mga Anak BlogCon

Action films are rising one by one and is now proudly produced and distributed by Star Cinema. If you would remember "OTJ" by Erik Matti, it gave a promising hope for more action films in production for Philippine Cinema. Now this 2014, Robin Padilla, fresh from his success in 10000 hours will now reprise the role of one of the most controversial clans in the Philippines, the Kuratong Baleleng.

"Sa Ngalan Ng Ama Ina At Mga Anak" is a production by RCP Productions and distributed by Star Cinema which brings together cast members all from the Padilla clan. Yes, stars like RJ Padilla, Kylie Padilla, Rommel Padilla, Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla, and even Daniel Padilla is in this movie.

In the BlogCon Robin shares that the movie was years in the making and was made in the province where the group started. Led by the patriarch Octavio 'Ongkoy' Parojinog (played by Robin), the fight for struggle still continues up to this day with living family members now officials of Ozamis City.

Robin shares that the movie is not just action but also show the value of the family, and how they fight together for their rights. Mariel who plays the wife of Ongkoy, goes into a very tough role as she is now handling firearms which is very far from her conservative and bubbly personality.

The Padilla siblings and cousins are actually not new to handle firearms as they were all trained at a young age and can handle them properly and with ease. The movie with all the elements of gun-slinging and armed conflict plus the participation of real Parojinogs makes it as close as it can be to reality.

Sa Ngalan Ng Ama Ina At Mga Anak hit theaters January 29, 2014.
