On January 16, 2014, Star World scored 0.65 in the category of females aged 16-34 for the season premiere of American Idol, with a tremendous 1.3 in its sub-target of females 16-24; the numbers not only trump last season's premiere but also register as Star World's highest launch numbers for the iconic competition.
