Launched on October 1 2017, FOX Networks Group Asia’s (FNGA) popular StarWorld will rebrand as FOX life, becoming a truly global brand. The new look - unveiled on October 1 2017, will incorporate a new name, identity, brand tagline and logo designed to deliver an innovative, entertaining and commercial channel brand, with a programming mix designed to appeal to a broad cross section of females and to provide co-viewing opportunities.

Since launching StarWorld in 1995, FNGA has been committed to its mission of providing the very best of entertainment in the region and providing audiences with exclusive access to premium dramas, comedy, reality TV shows, global award shows and exciting original productions.  

MUSIC LYF: 5 amazing things to expect at “The Script” Live in Manila

The Irish band composed of Danny O’Donoghue (vocals, piano), Mark Sheehan (vocals, guitar), Glen Power (vocals, drums) is about to set foot in Manila for the 3rd time. It just goes to show how much these three talented and passionate musicians love performing for Filipinos.


The Script at Mall Of Asia Arena, Manila will be happening on April 17th 2015. If you haven’t been to a The Script Concert and is going or planning to go this April, here are some of the awesome things to expect when you go see the Irish band perform on stage.


1. Band - Audience Interaction. Danny is known for mingling with the crowd during live performances and people love it when he does. Expect ambush open mic moments and prepare to sing along with the band. You may also want to sit in front of the stage to be clearly seen on the band selfie.


2. Rollercoaster of Emotions. The Script has songs with different moods and tempos, and they sure know how to balance them all together to create a striking set list.


Asia's Next Top Model Cycle 2 Heats Up Star World in 2014

Heating up your TV screens this 2014, the second cycle of Asia’s Next Top Model hits Star World with a new batch of strikingly beautiful hopefuls vying for the title. The show premiered on January 8, 2014, introducing 16 young models from the Asia-Pacific region who feel they’ve got what it takes to be the next Asian fashion ingénue.

Returning this season to host the show is successful model Nadya Hutagalung, and Joey Mead-King, model and host, reprises her role as mentor to the candidates. Joining these beautiful judges are photographer Mike Rosenthal and movement coach Adam Williams to round out the panel. All of them use their combined experience in the fashion industry to train the girls and discern who deserves to become Asia’s Next Top Model.

Sixteen aspiring models undergo various challenges throughout the show -- some testing their skills to navigate socially through the fashion world, others their natural talent in presenting the best image of themselves that will have the industry at their feet. All these challenges are designed to hone the model’s talents and weed out those who can’t make the cut.

American Idol Season 13 Premiere Bags Huge Ratings for Star World‏

Proving it is truly the Home of Idols again this year, Star World is rejoicing over its recent ratings triumph for the much-awaited premiere of American Idol Season 13. On January 16, 2014, Star World scored 0.65 in the category of females aged 16-34 for the season premiere of American Idol, with a tremendous 1.3 in its sub-target of females 16-24; the numbers not only trump last season's premiere but also register as Star World's highest launch numbers for the iconic competition. The score greatly trumps that of competing channel ETC, which scored a 0 rating for the same category for its premiere of American Idol Season 13.

Star World holds auditions for Asia’s Next Top Model Season 2

The time has come once again to choose the Philippines’ best bet for the title of Asia’s Next Top Model, and Star World is holding a grand go-see to find a Filipina who will wow the judges and beat the competition hailing from all over Asia. On August 9, 2013, Top Model hopefuls from every corner of the Philippines will be flocking to HYVE in Bonifacio Global City beginning 10 AM to try out for Asia’s most-watched reality TV modeling competition.

Last season, on Asia’s Next Top Model, host Nadya Hutagalung headed the panel of judges, which was composed of fashion director Daniel Boey, fashion photographer Todd Anthony Tyler, and model Joey Mead-King. Together, the judges saw contestants through a slew of modeling challenges designed to hone the contestants’ talents and allow those who have the knack for modelling shine above the rest.

Star World is proud to be broadcasting The 55th Grammy Awards LIVE this Monday, February 11 at 9 AM to give you a sumptuous breakfast of amazing musical performances and the who’s who of the global music industry waiting to be honored for their contributions to music. The Grammy Awards have been celebrating for more than fifty years the music and artists who have touched the hearts and souls of people around the world, and this year’s event, to be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, promises to be the biggest effort to carry on this noble tradition. A total of 81 awards will be given away this year, including three new categories: Best Classical Compendium, Best Latin Jazz Album, and Best Urban Contemporary Album. An astounding roster of artists are set to perform onstage for Music’s Biggest Night, including the usual suspects Rihanna, Bruno Mars and Justin Timberlake as well as legends like Sting and Elton John. The Grammys will also pay tribute to the late Levon Helm of The Band with Zac Brown, T Bone Burnett (as musical director), Alabama Shakes' Brittany Howard, Elton John, Mumford & Sons, and Mavis Staples. Meanwhile, Stanley Clarke, Chick Corea and Kenny Garrett will also perform a touching tribute to jazz legend Dave Brubeck.
