ART IS A BANG: Viva La Vreeland With "Full Gallop"

The taste for fashion is one of man's infinite struggles for generations. But there are a handful of visionaries who have really shaped the industry and give insights of the appreciation and use of fashion for the modern world. That woman is Diana Vreeland, former Vogue Magazine editor-in-chief and known for her taste and sophistication. Now her vivid and charming life will unfold with "Full Gallop" staged by MyOwnMann Productions starring Cherrie Gil to play the free-spirited Diana.

FULL GALLOP is a one-woman stage play but should never be underestimated because it will not be just a pages of words recited. Each statement is something one can relate at first, then invoke curiosity with the detailed description of her insights and the people, places and fashion she is exposed with. Cherie Gil, noted as one of acclaimed TV and movie actress takes on the challenge of doing the show working with her director Bart Guingona and with a special participation of G Tongi.
The details of the stage to the costumes were very intricate down to the very last accessory. The stage is custom-fitted to bring the ambiance of Vreeland's home which are filled with a lot of prints, records, flowers and the empowering color red. With elements that balance the stage and made perfect to make Diana shine with her lines and mannerisms. When the curtains go up, I'm sure you will utter the word "wow".

She will take you not just on her journeys of life but also her admiration to the arts, the aesthetics and wonders of fashion, and the things she have observed that gave her the expertise of the complicated and crazy fashion industry.

There are a lot to be learned with Diana's observation of the world, her work as an editor, the history which she was an active participant and lover of things beautiful. Her wit and unique taste entertains and gets the audience hooked to what she will do next. You would hardly notice the time and enjoy it without feeling lost in generation gaps, I guess that is an essence of true charisma.
