Kygo To Perform In Manila

The hottest electronic dance musician in the world will finally play on the Manila stage on October 25 as part of his Kids In Love World Tour. His latest song Born to Be Yours with Imagine Dragons has been a consistent No.1 on iTunes for over five consecutive weeks.

Kygo is a world-renowned Norwegian producer, songwriter, DJ and music marvel who has turned himself into an international sensation in a span of three short years. He was crowned Spotify’s Breakout Artist of 2015, as songs including “Firestone (feat. Conrad Sewell)” and “Stole The Show (feat. Parson James),” which was certified gold or platinum in sixteen countries, helped him become the fastest artist in history to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify. Kygo’s first album, Cloud Nine, debuted at #1 on iTunes Dance Albums Chart and at #1 on Nielsen Soundscan’s Electronic Albums chart. Armin Only Embrace is a 5-hour-long experience in which worlds are linked by live performances, dance acts, visuals, special effects and, above all, by the 5 times No.1 DJ in the world, Armin van Buuren. Together with his team, the DJ brings a next-level experience to the world, something that is completely new to the dance scene. He will end the night with a special vinyl hour.

Armin Only Embrace is the biggest thing Armin has ever done.

"A show like this has never been shown before,' says Armin Van Buuren. ’The rehearsal process for this show lasted three weeks. This is the first time people will experience such a trance event, its unique’.  You can compare it with a large-scale rock show, but with four hours of non-stop dance music.”

MUSIC LYF: Get to Know Bea Valera 12 Stone's Newest EDM Artist

Bea Valera (born on December 12, 1991) better known as “BV” is an Electronic Dance Music (EDM) recording artist and songwriter born and raised in the Philippines. As a child, she started doing theatre in and eventually made her way to UP Diliman to study theatre arts. With a true passion for music, she decided to try her luck and focus full time on her work. In 2011, BV turned heads when she was featured as the lead on a music video called “Biglang Liko” by Ron Henley which currently has over 18 million youtube views. Eventually, this led her to do more music videos for other artists like Chicosci, Save Me Hollywood and many more. She is also quite experienced behind the scenes, working as a stylist and production designer from time to time.

BV was first heard in a collaboration with rapper Ron Henley called “Langit” and started singing choruses on live shows for her friends in the hiphop industry like Stick Figgas and Loonie while working as a creative executive for an advertising agency in 2012. Attending music festivals and watching foreign EDM inspired her to make her own music and collaborated with Kidwolf to make her first track “Unbroken”. After releasing the track on youtube in December 2013, BV along with her producer (Kidwolf) were asked to make the anthem for the Summer Siren Festival 2014. The song entitled “Free” exceeded their expectations as it entered the myx charts and was regularly played at different radio stations. The success of “Free” has allowed BV to perform around metro Manila, Zambales, Pampanga, Subic and Baguio. Staying true to her electronic pop sound, she is currently working with young EDM producers from all around the Philippines, hoping to take original Filipino EDM the next level.

It is now possible that while people enjoy great electronic music can gather help to the typhoon-stricken areas of Visayas through the collaboration of Republiq, Worldwide Womb and Driven, together with the free call and messaging app VIBER presents UNITED REPUBLIQ, held last November 21 at the SM Mall of Asia Grounds. 

It was a gathering of the biggest names in Electronic Dance Music, the world-renowned DJs Axwell, Nicky Romero and Dutch duo NO_ID. Also playing in the concert are the top DJs Ace Ramos, Mars Miranda, Martin Pulgar and Marc Naval. The event was a non-spot string of electronic beats from evening to sunrise with people partying to the sound and of course non-stop dancing and partying.
