SM and BDO Make Christmas For OFWs Extra Special

Diane Reyes had spent the last six years working in Japan as a teacher. This year she looks forward to finally spending Christmas with her family.

SM Supermalls has made Christmas for Reyes even more special with its Pamaskong Handog para sa Global Pinoys celebration last December 10.

Spearheaded by SM Supermalls, BDO, SM Global Pinoy and SM Store, the Pamaskong Handog Para sa Global Pinoy gave Overseas Filipino Workers like Reyes and their families a special day to celebrate the uniquely Filipino Christmas celebration in participating SM malls nationwide.

“The Pamaskong Handog Para sa Global Pinoy is really for our modern heroes and their families because it’s not every year that they get to experience Christmas here and so we want to them to experience the unique Filipino Christmas to make them homecoming memorable and truly heartwarming,” said Mr. Glenn D. Ang, Senior Vice President for Operations and Program Director of SM Global Pinoy.

SM Cinema to Participate in SM Supermalls’ Pamaskong Handog Para sa Global Pinoy with Free Movie Day

As a way of giving back to the Filipino overseas worker, SM Cinema is launching this December the SM Global Pinoy Free Movie Day, an initiative that is part of SM Supermalls’ nationwide event Pamaskong Handog Para sa Global Pinoy which is now on its second year.

The SM Global Pinoy Free Movie Day is slated on December 7, 2013, with SM Cinema branches nationwide (except SM Aura Premier, The Podium, SM Las Piñas, and SM BF Parañaque) dedicating one of their theatres to a free movie screening for overseas Filipino workers and their families. The following blockbuster movies will be screened for free: Caregiver (2008); Dubai (2005); Milan (2004); and Anak (2000).

Interested OFWs and their families may register online until December 6, 2013 at www.facebook.com/smgpc to get a voucher. Confirmation vouchers may be exchanged for movie tickets at the e-PLUS booth of their preferred cinema branch. Walk-in registration at SM Global Pinoy centers nationwide will also be accommodated.

Global Pinoy Center opens at SM City San Lazaro

I am currently the foursquare mayor of five Global Pinoy Centers namely SM Megamall, SM North EDSA, SM Sta Mesa, SM Manila and SM Mall of Asia. The Global Pinoy Center (GPC) is indeed a great place for OFW and their dependents like me. SM San Lazaro is known to be the community mall of the Sampaloc-Blumentrit Area which is the landmark and favorite hangout place by many. It opens its Global Pinoy Center with the a grand celebration of Pinoy Culture and a toast to the succesful Pinoys who had made their mark internationally. And they are:
