With just two weeks, Puregold Channel’s romcom series “Ang Babae sa Likod ng Face Mask” continues to garner thousands of views online with fans excitedly commenting on Malta and Sieg’s unfolding romance.

The previous episode shows an anxious Malta having disturbing dreams about baring her face to Sieg. It does not help any that Malta’s very real fears are aggravated by issues springing from her cash-strapped mother Madam Baby’s failure to pay for their bills.

After a highly successful premiere on the Puregold Channel, romantic-comedy series ‘Ang Babae Sa Likod ng Face Mask’ continues to excite in its upcoming second episode as interesting developments unravel in the life of its lead characters.

 

The premiere garnered thousands of views online as romcom fans flocked to see the budding romance between Herlene Budol’s Malta and Joseph Marco’s Sieg. In the premiere we got to know Malta, a young woman who is labelled “hipon.” Malta works at a local café to help pay the mounting household bills and support her mother, astruggling vlogger named Madam Baby, played by Mickey Ferriols.

A new romantic comedy will be stream soon on Puregold Channel as they continue with making online series which expands their reach from a growing supermarket brand into an innovating entertainment company. They will now feature a new series “Ang Babae sa Likod ng Face Mask” conceptualized with Puregold, produced by award-winning filmmaker Chris Cahilig, and directed by critically-acclaimed Victor Villanueva.

The series will feature viral social media personality and comedienne Herlene "Hipon" Budol as her first starring role in a series and paired with hunky actor Kit Thompson. The series will be available on the Puregold Channel starting March 26, 2022.

Though Herlene's nickname "hipon" seems to be an insult on her appearance, she has proven herself that she is beyond the perception of beauty by others along with her other talents of dancing, hosting, and now acting. Being paired with one of the most in-demand leading man today, Kit Thompson, they do give a charming energy which will make both of their characters more lovable.
