De-Aging Techniques Employed for the Young Losers in "IT Chapter Two"

Reprising their roles in Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema’s “IT Chapter Two” as the young members of the Losers Club are Jaeden Martell as Bill, Wyatt Oleff as Stanley, Jack Dylan Grazer as Eddie, Finn Wolfhard as Richie, Sophia Lillis as Beverly, Chosen Jacobs as Mike, and Jeremy Ray Taylor as Ben.

There was one problem, though. The young Losers by then were not as young by three years since “IT Chapter One.” Producer Barbara Muschietti acknowledges, “Physically, most of them changed quite radically, and we knew we were going to employ some de-aging techniques for the flashbacks.

"IT" Standout Jack Dylan Grazer is Fanboy Freddy in "SHAZAM!"

Popularly known for starring as the Losers Club’s asthma-afflicted Eddie in the global horror blockbuster “IT,” Jack Dylan Grazer now stars in New Line Cinema’s action-adventure “SHAZAM!” in the role of Freddy, a geeky foster kid who has had a tough young life but who definitely hasn’t lost his sense of humor…or mischief.

In the film, superhero enthusiast Freddy helps out his bunkmate, Billy (Asher Angel) who’s freaked out by what’s just happened and who—or what—he’s become.  By shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—Billy can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam, courtesy of an ancient wizard.

SHAZAM! - A Marvelous And Fun Hero in the DC Universe

DC is getting on the right track with their latest movies like Aquaman which has reached more than $1 Billion in the box office. Now comes another DC character which is already getting ground with his humor and charm as seen in the trailers. Shazam! is potentially powerful as Aquaman in terms of anticipation and might do well in the cinemas as well.

Starring Zachary Levi, this champion also known as Captain Marvel of the DC universe comes in a great time where DC is now embracing their fun and adventurous plots rather than the deep and dark ones of the past. Given that the character in the comics also has a quirky side and an alter ego of a kid named Billy Batson played by Asher Angel.

It was a fun and interesting world to deal with as Shazam is powered by magic from mystics of the ancient world. His foes would also come from the same realm of mysticism which opens a new wave of possible heroes and villains that will also become part of the DC Universe. What we like most about the film is the development of the characters although comical at first, but eventually reveals as very pivotal for the whole story.
