Finn Wolfhard Follows Up "IT Chapter Two" with "The Goldfinch"

For teen actor Finn Wolfhard (Netflix’s “Stranger Things”), one memorable film deserves another.  After starring in the horror blockbuster “IT Chapter Two” as trash-talking Richie, he will soon be seen as Boris, a teen immigrant from Russia, in the inspiring drama “The Goldfinch,” opening in Philippine cinemas September 25.

In “The Goldfinch,” Wolfhard’s Boris is a Russian-born, street-smart, recalcitrant teenager who has been forced to grow up before his time.  Both him and Theo (Oakes Fegley) have been reluctantly cast adrift in the outer reaches of Las Vegas, surrounded by sand and rows of vacant houses, emptied by foreclosure.  Apart from being the only two kids within miles, Boris and Theo have misfortune in common: both had mothers who died tragically, and both have neglectful, even abusive, fathers.

McAvoy, Chastain, Hader Lead the Adult Losers in "IT Chapter Two"

Twenty-seven years after the Losers’ Club defeated Pennywise, he has returned to terrorize the town of Derry once more, in Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema’s “IT Chapter Two.” Now adults, the Losers have long since gone their separate ways. However, people are disappearing again, so Mike, the only one of the group to remain in their hometown, calls the others home. Damaged by the experiences of their past, they must each conquer their deepest fears to destroy Pennywise once and for all...putting them directly in the path of the shape-shifting clown that has become deadlier than ever.

De-Aging Techniques Employed for the Young Losers in "IT Chapter Two"

Reprising their roles in Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema’s “IT Chapter Two” as the young members of the Losers Club are Jaeden Martell as Bill, Wyatt Oleff as Stanley, Jack Dylan Grazer as Eddie, Finn Wolfhard as Richie, Sophia Lillis as Beverly, Chosen Jacobs as Mike, and Jeremy Ray Taylor as Ben.

There was one problem, though. The young Losers by then were not as young by three years since “IT Chapter One.” Producer Barbara Muschietti acknowledges, “Physically, most of them changed quite radically, and we knew we were going to employ some de-aging techniques for the flashbacks.

IT Chapter Two - How Can Evil End?

After waiting for two years, it is time for us to go back to the town of Derry where a group of kids made an oath to stop IT after its 27 years of slumber. We had s scarefest with the first IT movie which brought new life to the classic Stephen King novel.

Now for chapter two, it will now introduce a grown up gang who have their own lives outside Derry. But when It comes back after decades of slumber, it again wrecks havoc on the small town and its residents. These incidents will eventually call the group back to finally kill the murderous clown or they will be killed by him.

With their own separate lives outside the troubled town, they have forgotten some of the memories of the most traumatic experience of their lives. Catching up with their own lives looks very fun and nostalgic, however it takes a turn to horror as Pennywise the clown plays with the groups fears and frustration.

Stephen King Gets More Actively in "IT Chapter Two"

At the end of 2017’s “IT,” the game-changing motion picture adaptation of Stephen King’s quintessential horror novel, the young members of the Losers’ Club are sitting in the sunshine, days after their defeat of Pennywise in the sewers below. The only ones in Derry truly aware of the pernicious evil that nearly annihilated the town, they swear a blood oath to come back if their efforts to destroy the malevolent presence weren’t successful. If, indeed, Pennywise ever returns…
