The P-Pop group will be performing some of the fan favorites, which includes individual and group segments

P-Pop group KAIA is set to conquer the big stage with their first major concert, happening on December 19, 2023, at the Teatrino Promenade in Greenhills, San Juan.

Dubbed KAIA IS HERE: 1st Solo Concert, the highly anticipated show promises to deliver knockout performances and top-tier numbers that serve as a testament to the Filipino group’s undeniable growth and commitment to their artistry.

The all-girl ensemble will be performing some of the crowd favorites and new songs live, including individual and group segments made specifically for their fans.

KAIA expressed their excitement about headlining their own solo show, which they consider a dream come true. “We had always dreamed of having our own solo concert, and now it’s happening,” shares the chart-topping act in a press statement. “While the pressure of it being our first solo show weighs on us, we're fully dedicated to delivering the best possible experience to our fans.”

KAIA brings back the fun in pop music on the performance video of “Turn Up”

The P-Pop quintet’s new banger welcomes 2023 with an upbeat club anthem

After earning rave reviews for their Y2K-indebted track “Dalawa,” KAIA marks another creative triumph for P-Pop with the release of another banger under Sony Music Entertainment.

The Filipino girl group’s new single “Turn Up” unabashedly displays their signature brand of sass while reviving the bold, explosive sounds of early 2010’s dance-pop.

The release of “Turn Up” comes with a music video (performance version) directed by Denny Lee and Jake Jung. The visuals find KAIA performing the track with a synchronized choreography.

P-Pop girl group KAIA pivot towards a more R&B-driven sound in new single “Dalawa”

The subdued, laid-back track explores unrequited romance with reassuring sweetness

P-Pop girl group KAIA explores a more R&B-leaning direction in their new single “Dalawa,” released under Sony Music Entertainment.

Standing out in sublime contrast with their previous releases, the five-member act’s smooth jam alludes to the idea of expressing infatuation in the most reassuring, youthful way.

“Dalawa is a song that tells a story familiar to many: catching unrequited feelings for someone close to you,” describes the eclectic pop quintet. “While it veers away from the upbeat, dance-pop tunes that we’ve been dishing out since our debut, this particular material sticks to our strengths as a girl group.”

Kumu is 4 U and You and You: The Philippines’ Leading Social App Celebrates Four Years with Stars and Fans Alike

Now in its fourth year, social entertainment app Kumu marked the occasion with a bang at the Samsung Hall in SM Aura Premier, in partnership with Globe and Sunsilk; with media partners Spot.ph, Candy Magazine, Pep.ph, One Music PH, When in Manila, and Geektalk PH; and wardrobe sponsors Dave Ocampo, Designers Circle Philippines, and Mabuhay PH. Kumu gathered roughly 1,000 guests, comprising the biggest streamers, the most active users, and a huge roster of the talents that had their dreams of stardom—however unorthodox—through the app.

Seven Of The Country’s Best P-pop Groups Sign with Kumu

The social media platform is now the biggest stage to witness the best performances from this rising new genre.

Filipinos are known to be well-versed in making unique spins on trends, whether it’s food, art, or—perhaps most especially—music and dance. When the Korean wave, or Hallyu, took the world by storm around the mid 2000s, social media played a part in propelling it to the top of Billboard charts and the hearts of the global youth. Come 2021, social entertainment platform Kumu started growing its music presence through singing contests and music label partnerships. Once Filipinos solidified its homegrown variant of the global Kpop genre—more commonly known as P-pop—Kumu was already poised to be its virtual home.
