"Game of Thrones" Hero Kit Harington Back as Eret in "How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World"

Even though he joined the How to Train Your Dragon series in the second film, Kit Harington has become as much a member of the Dragon family as any other.

Harington’s character, Eret, Son of Eret, one of the bad guys in 2014’s How to Train Your Dragon 2, is proof positive that anyone can change. “Eret has gone from being a nemesis to Hiccup who traps dragons to a man with a good heart trying to protect his men,” says the actor about his character’s evolution. “What we learned with Eret is that, through education, an angry young person’s good essence can be shaped into treating his fellow creatures better. This series has a lot to say about how we treat those creatures in the world around us.”

REEL DEAL: Julianne Moore The Dark Sorceress In “SEVENTH SON”

The veritable frontrunner for the Best Actress prize in February’s Academy Awards for her performance in “Still Alice,” acting diva Julianne Moore stars in Universal Pictures and Legendary Pictures' fantasy adventure “Seventh Son.”

Moore portrays Mother Malkin, the mighty witch whose heart is blackened by betrayal and heartbreak. Landing the acclaimed actress to play the dark sorceress was a real coup. “It’s hard to cast a wicked witch because if the actress isn’t good it could feel very campy and over the top,” producer Basil Iwanyk says.

REEL DEAL: Ben Barnes From “CHRONICLES OF NARNIA” To “SEVENTH SON”

He’s best known for his role as Prince Caspian in the international hit franchise “The Chronicles of Narnia,” based on the books by C.S. Lewis. Now, Ben Barnes stars as the title character Tom Ward in Universal Pictures and Legendary Pictures' fantasy adventure “Seventh Son.”

In a time of enchantments when legends and magic collide, the sole remaining warrior of a mystical order (Jeff Bridges) travels to find a prophesized hero born with incredible powers, the last Seventh Son (Ben Barnes). Torn from his quiet life as a farmhand, the unlikely young hero embarks on a daring adventure with his battle-hardened mentor to vanquish a dark queen (Julianne Moore) and the army of supernatural assassins she has dispatched against their kingdom.

REEL DEAL: Jeff Bridges, Master Demon-Slayer In “SEVENTH SON”

Academy Award-winner Jeff Bridges stars as grizzled demon-slayer Master Gregory in Universal Pictures and Legendary Pictures' fantasy adventure “Seventh Son.”

For Master Gregory, explains producer Basil Iwanyk, the filmmakers needed an actor who “could play grumpy and taciturn and irascible, aged but still lively and youthful, charming when he wants to be and has a great physicality.” They felt that Jeff Bridges fit that bill. “He’s always been one of the best American actors, and he’s a true box-office draw, having established those credentials with films like `TRON: Legacy' and `True Grit.' There are a lot of actors who feel very familiar in movies in this genre and we knew Jeff would bring his own spin to this, which he has. He created this incredible character.”

“Master Gregory is somebody who has got a lot of miles on him and is very weary,” elaborates producer Jillian Share. “He has the burden of keeping the forces of evil at bay, yet without the appreciation of those he helps. They want him around when there’s trouble, but they don’t want his friendship. Jeff does an amazing job of capturing that pain, and there’s great character work here.”

REEL DEAL: “SEVENTH SON,” First Fantasy Adventure of 2015

From Legendary Pictures, producers of “Godzilla” and “300: Rise of an Empire,” comes “Seventh Son,” the first fantasy adventure to open the New Year 2015.

Based on the book "The Spook's Apprentice" by Joseph Delaney, the film stars Jeff Bridges (“TRON: Legacy”), Ben Barnes (“The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian”), Alicia Vikander (“The Fifth Estate”), Kit Harington (“Game of Thrones”), Olivia Williams (“The Sixth Sense”), Antje Traue (“Man of Steel”), Djimon Hounsou (“Guardians of the Galaxy”) and Julianne Moore (“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1”).
