Welcoming The New Year With With Sky Lanterns at Light Up NUVALI

The New Year is upon us and ending 2012 should be something unique and significant. And I won't pass on the opportunity to try out this. On Rizal Day, December 30, We went to Nuvali, the premiere eco city in Laguna which is now becoming a popular place for people and nature, conducted their annual Sky Lantern event which will light up the Laguna sky. It will be my first time to fly these lanterns and also make a wish for 2013 and beyond.

Nuvali is also the perfect place for Sky Lanterns as it would be hazardous to fire when done in the urban area. And with the multitudes of lanterns flying up is a great sight to see as they appear like stars floating up to the sky. Which also reminds you of an animated movie which also had their annual sky lanterns. The lanterns are also specially made to prevent fire incidents with eco friendly materials.

XSTIG: SM Cyberzone Opens at SM City Sta Rosa

Though I grew up in Laguna, I have never explored a lot of places within the first district which holds a lot of great places to visit like the first SM Supermall in the province, SM City Santa Rosa. This mall is placed in the middle of green fields and just along the national highway. I like the concept of the mall that looks like a big garden with a lot of vines and windows allowing sunlight to pass through and make it more close to nature.

And this year, they have now upgraded the mall with another attraction that will compliment the growing digital lifestyle of the people living in the fast-changing city of Santa Rosa which is the premiere location with developments left and right providing a fast-paced lifestyle to the people in Santa Rosa and nearby places. And now, the mall opens its Cyberzone, which is a favorite place for the digital generation (like me), it provides an area to check out the latest gadgets and gizmos that will satisfy those electronic cravings.

LAKBAYAN: Costales Organic Farm

Farming. It's more fun in the Philippines!

When was the last time you have been on a trip to nature far from the city. To smell the fresh air, the clean water, and the rich soil of the earth. And though this may be a dream to many, it is actually just a province away. In Majayjay Laguna, just beside the mythical Banahaw mountain, is where you can find a unconventional yet sustainable farm, Costales Nature Farm.

Though maybe just a province away, you would really feel that the urban landscape fades away to the rural yet sustainable living. Costales Nature Farm dedicates itself to the te practice of Organic Farming. Yes, the farming that uses natural fertilizers, no chemicals which nature intended it to be. We got the chance to go and experience organic farming which is a promising way of sustainable agriculture minus the harmful insecticides and yeilds bountiful and high quality produce.

And tasting the fruits, vegetable and livestock from the farm definitely far more different and far more delicious than the regular meat and vegetables.

There is no better antidote to the stresses and hassles of city living than coming home to relaxing and refreshing greenery, a place that is private, secure and in harmony with nature. And this is exactly what Ridgeview Estates NUVALI offers its residents.

This residential property is located within NUVALI, Ayala Land’s sprawling 1,800-hectare development envisioned to be a metropolis founded on standards of social, economic and environmental sustainability; and is set amidst a backdrop of lush and verdant beauty, giving residents more reasons to love their home and community.

And with a selection of residential properties available, it has also become home to those who want to live in a sustainable community conducive to family development and work-life balance.

As the metro quickly develops, the places for finding a perfect home away from the the stress and pollution of city life. The way to go now to invest in a home in the south of Metro Manila particularly in areas like Laguna and Cavite. And with supehighways that goes through these provinces, traveling time has less hassles. You can find your own santucary at Vista Land's THE ISLANDS at Dasmarinas City in Cavite.

The Islands consists of properties of Vista Land like Caribe and Amalfi, and also affordable yet stylish home of Camella Homes Dasma. We took a journey into these places at the Islands to see for ourselves the hidden beauty and nature near the hectic urban jungle.

They recently launched Discover Your Passion at The Islands Photo contest last March 31 which  called Amateur and Professional Photographers with DSLRs to capture the great sights and landscapes of the the islands. The whole day event will let them go around the properties and also checking out their facilities. Though we were not the actual participants, we went around the properties to see the beauty and fun within the Islands. With hectares of land with great landscapes and homes to facilities, there will be no reason for the photographers to capture moments and breathtaking backgrounds.

Caribe at the Islands is inspired with the tropical living as its name came from the Caribbean.  While Amalfi is more European with a high influence of Spanish feel and architecture. There is also  Camella Homes Dasma offers affordable family living varieties with great amenities and location. There is also St. Paul College Islands Park in the middle of the Islands properties, thus making school not very far from home. The Islands Commercial and Mango Grove is also a great place for recreation and events and situated in the middle of them all.

Among all of the great properties, there is indeed a place for everyone, for small and practical families, people who want to have a feel of European living, or even a tropical one can be found here. With a nearby school, near to major roads and also commercial establishments soon to open, it a perfect getaway every time you go home.  As I am actually considering of investing a property in the south, the Islands is my top pick!
