DLSU Launches the Science and Technology Complex

In pursuit of its vision to be a leading learner-centered research university in the region, De La Salle University launched at the culmination of its centennial year, its new campus, the De La Salle University Science and Technology Complex (DLSU-STC) Leandro V. Locsin Campus.

DLSU-STC, a 50-hectare sprawling campus, is adjacent to the Laguna Technopark.  The DLSU-STC will include new academic buildings, research centers, modern dorm facilities, and staff housing. It will promote strong collaboration with its neighboring industry partners as well as with regional research centers.

To evolve into a leading research center in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, the DLSU-STC targets a high concentration of top students and outstanding faculty for its roster. DLSU Centennial President and Chancellor Br. Narciso Erguiza, Jr. FSC said “Our refocusing on faculty development in the next five years should result in a harvest of young gifted scholars who will produce research that are transformative and relevant.”

The surrounding area of DLSU-STC is bustling with commercial and leisure activities. This urban/suburban mix is expected to provide momentum for the migration to the Complex.

“True to our shared Lasallian values of faith, service, and communion, I am confident that the DLSU community will build on what has been started in the past,” Erguiza said in reference to the long-term plans of DLSU.
