New Line Cinema’s “THE NUN II” – the next chapter in the story of “The Nun,” the highest-grossing entry in the most successful horror franchise of all time, “The Conjuring” Universe – landed at the top of this weekend’s box office, coming in at #1 in its debut and taking in PHP 90 million in the Philippines. Directed by Michael Chaves and produced by Peter Safran and James Wan, “The Nun II” opened on September 6.

About “Malignant”

“Malignant” is the latest creation from “Conjuring” universe architect James Wan (“Aquaman,” “Furious 7”).  The film marks director Wan’s return to his roots with this new original horror thriller.

In the film, Madison is paralyzed by shocking visions of grisly murders, and her torment worsens as she discovers that these waking dreams are in fact terrifying realities.  

Production Starts on New Line's Action Adventure "Mortal Kombat"

Production is underway on New Line Cinema’s “Mortal Kombat,” with award-winning Australian commercial filmmaker Simon McQuoid at the helm, marking his feature directorial debut.  The explosive action adventure is based on the blockbuster video game franchise, which recently released the most successful video game launch in its history, Mortal Kombat 11.

New Line, Sanrio Announce Plan to Bring Hello Kitty to the Big Screen Worldwide

New Line Cinema, Sanrio and FlynnPictureCo. announced today that they will be teaming up to develop an English language Hello Kitty film for a worldwide audience for the first time in her 45-year history.

The partnership marks the only time Sanrio has granted film rights to Hello Kitty and other popular characters—including Gudetama, My Melody, Little Twin Stars and more from its expansive universe—to a major film studio, giving audiences outside of Japan the opportunity to experience Hello Kitty as a feature film. Hello Kitty’s debut under the partnership will be produced by Beau Flynn and executive produced by Wendy Jacobson for FlynnPictureCo. in the culmination of a passionate, nearly five-year journey to secure the rights to develop Hello Kitty for the global big screen. A search for writers and creative talent will commence immediately.

Jeremy Renner Becomes an Easy Target in Game of "Tag"

Two-time Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner (“Arrival,” “Avengers” films) stars in New Line Cinema’s comedy “Tag” as Jerry, the undefeated player in a game of tag that friends have been playing since they were little kids.

“I thought it was awesome that there are guys who really do this in real life,” says Renner.  “The script was hysterical, but it also attracted me because it was about friendship lasting in perpetuity. I’ve moved around a lot, so I think having continuity from your past is really important.  I’m a big believer in holding on to things that matter; if you value something, it sometimes takes great effort to keep it.”

"The Walking Dead's" Jeffrey Dean Morgan Has a Blast in "Rampage"

Jeffrey Dean Morgan freed up some time from his busy schedule on TV's The Walking Dead, so he can star opposite Dwayne Johnson in New Line Cinema's epic adventure Rampage (in Philippine cinemas Thursday, April 12).

And he obviously enjoyed himself doing the actioner. He shares, “For one scene, I’m firing four clips of machine gun fire into a giant monster, and the director yells cut and walks up to me and says, ‘Can you stop smiling?’ – because I’m having such a good time with Rampage!”

Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have just unveiled the teaser trailer for Game Night, an adult comedy with wild adventures and a strong ensemble cast led by Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams.

New Line Cinema's "IT" a Monster Hit at PH Box-Office

New Line Cinema’s IT, the critically lauded big-screen adaptation of Stephen King’s perennial best seller, floated to the top of the Philippine box office on its opening weekend, earning P50.18-million across 213 cinemas, and still climbing.

Directed by Andy Muschietti (Mama), the much-anticipated horror thriller has surpassed the opening figures of recent horror blockbusters, The Conjuring (P39-M) and Lights Out (P36.7-M).

In making the announcement, Francis Soliven, General Manager, Warner Bros. Philippines, said, “IT is the film that everyone is talking about, whether fans of the genre or not, driving moviegoers across the country to brave the cinema for their own encounter with Pennywise. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the results, and congratulate New Line Cinema, director Andy Muschietti and his phenomenal cast and crew on this fantastic opening.”

Dwayne Johnson Stars in "Rampage," New Action Adventure from New Line Cinema

Global megastar Dwayne Johnson headlines New Line Cinema’s action adventure “Rampage,” for director/producer Brad Peyton. Beau Flynn, John Rickard and Hiram Garcia are also producing the film, currently on location in Atlanta, for an April 20, 2018 release. “Rampage” marks the third collaboration between Johnson, Peyton and Flynn, following the blockbuster “San Andreas.”

Horror Fan-Favorite James Wan to Produce New Line's "The Nun"

Filmmaker James Wan, director of the record-setting horror hits “The Conjuring” and “The Conjuring 2,” explores another dark corner of that universe with New Line Cinema’s “The Nun.”

Helmed by award-winning director Corin Hardy (“The Hallow”), the new fright-fest has begun production on location in Romania. It will be produced by Wan through his Atomic Monster production company, along with Peter Safran, who has produced all of the films in “The Conjuring” franchise. “The Nun” is set for release on July 13, 2018.

Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler's New Comedy "The House" Gets First Trailer

New Line Cinema's upcoming comedy The House teams up Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler as married couple Scott and Kate Johansen who, after losing their daughter Alex’s college fund, become desperate to earn it back so she can pursue her dream of attending a university.

With the help of their neighbor Frank (Jason Mantzoukas), they decide to start an illegal casino in the basement of his house.

Filming Underway for New Line Cinema's Highly Anticipated "Annabelle 2"

She’s back! Principal photography has begun on New Line Cinema’s “Annabelle 2,” with David F. Sandberg (upcoming “Lights Out”) helming the follow up to 2014’s hugely successful “Annabelle,” which scared up nearly $257 million at the worldwide box office during its run in theaters. The new film is once again being produced by Peter Safran and James Wan, who also partnered so effectively on “The Conjuring” movies.

In “Annabelle 2,” several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.
