Buybust -Violently Amazing Filipino Action Film

This took years to finish and now showing in theaters after so many factors that delayed the film's completion. But indeed, quality cannot be rushed. This is what Buybust aims to prove that Filipino action films are indeed works of art, sweat, blood, tears, and fractures. Leading the star-studded cast is Anne Curtis who plays Nina Manigan which already breaks the stereotype that men can only be the lead in an action movie.

Literally a buybust operation, the team of a special drug enforcement unit goes into the belly of the beast to capture a big fish drug lord named Biggie Chen. The team goes inside and found themselves in a labyrinth of shanties, poverty, drugs, and gang-infested "community".  They get caught in a race to either catch the prized criminal o just get out alive.

I have to point out some characters who stood out among the sea of stars here. First was Victor Neri who played Bernie Lacson who leads the team in the operation and really showed his nature as an action star. Next is Brandon Vera, who plays Rico Yatco, he is known to be an MMA fighter but also did well on acting and even had a great chemistry with Anne (not romantic though). Arjo Atayde sheds his charming image to become Biggie Chen who is ruthless and fierce and even looks very different from the roles he played before. And of course, Anne Curtis, who has shown a lot of dedication and work for this film. She gets bloodied and bruised and experienced almost every kind of pain in this film. It was indeed proved her versatility and power to give justice to her character.

KABISERA Destined for Metro Manila Film Festival 2016

The center chair of a table which we call Kabisera` has been a symbolic seat of power at home. The 'head of the house" usually enjoys the view as he or she watches the banter of the whole family while sharing food and happy stories Fate could however throw uncertainties. A happy dining could just end up a long memory from the past. Honor, trust and loyalty are some of the values that are tested with this newest MMFF entry as it exposes imperfections that reign the lives of the Filipinos today. and how in the end we all stand up for what's right and what s more important to us.

'Ang pamilya ang pinakaimportanteng kayarnanan na mayroon ang P&p/7o. Sa bagong hakbang ng MMFF rigayon na magbigay ng twit na makabuluhang pelikula sa inclustrya, naisip namin bait tayo gumawa ng storyang malapit talaga sa puso ng bawat Pinoy. Were talking about value and and what's more valuable for us Pinoys than the family?". said Director Real Florido when asked why they chose this plot for their first Metro Manila Film Festival project Inspired by a true story. this newest treat for 2016 became even bigger by brilliantly putting together big names in the industry who have earned their own laurels to boot---Gawad Unan Best Actors, Ricky Davao and Amon Abalos, Unan Best Supporting Actor Menggie Cobbarubias, QCinema Best Actor, JC da Vera; MMFF Best AleSupporting Actor. Victor Nen, Sinag Maynila Best Actress Ges Quesada- Dine Filipino Best Actor Karl Medina. and Gawad Unan Best Supporting Actress Perla Bautista What getting everyone excited about this film is the fact that we are once again about to be blown away by the one and onty Grand Dame of Asian Cinema, Ms Nora Aunor as she comes back to the Metro Manila Film Festival Actor and producer, RI Agustin is also in the cast together with Ronwaldo Martin brother of Coco Martin), Kiko Matos and Alex San Agustin.
