Who is To Blame With The Water Interruptions in Pasig and Mandaluyong?

More than ever, access to useful water supply is a necessity for everyone. Recently there was large interruption of service affecting Mandaluyong, Pasig, and some parts of Quezon City. According to the news, it was because of damage made by Awin Technology when they were working on their CCTV network installation.

Naturally people would vent out on the service provider like Manila Water. However this incident was not caused by any maintenance work, rather because of the damage in the pipeline caused a huge outage of service. These cities are also densely populated which resulted in a huge inconvenience for the residents and workers.

If You Could Use Some Extra Space, Self-storage Is For you

Loc&Stor 24/7 offers units ranging from 1.5-square-meter lockers
that can fit eight balikbayan boxes to 18-square-meter jumbo-size units
that can accommodate the contents of a 40-foot container.
Admit it. Most Filipinos are pack rats. They hold on to stuff, unable or unwilling to let go, and let clutter take over their homes. In fact, a typical Filipino household most likely resembles a “bodega,” bursting at the seams not only with things that you need but also with things you’re better off consigning to the dustbin. From broken old lampshades to ovens and toasters that no longer work, from dog-eared books and documents to a cache of precious memorabilia.

Thankfully, if you are averse to disposing clutter or are simply petrified by the task, you will be glad to know that there is a new concept called “self-storage,” wherein storage spaces or units are rented out to residential customers or small-to-medium business owners who could use the extra space.

Meralco Opens Liwanag Park For The Christmas Season!

Indeed Christmas is just a month away but we are actually decorating our homes and offices with the spirit and feel of Christmas, and we have featured several places that lighted up their Christmas tress and Nativity Scenes (Belen), but the biggest and most anticipated of them all is the Meralco Liwanag Park in the Meralco Compund in Pasig City. We were there at the lighting ceremonies and see the video at the end of the post!

Meralco once again opens its Liwanag Park to the public in time for the Christmas season. The park features light displays and attractions like Christmas figures made of scrap copper wire, a mini train ride for visitors, the Toy Town and a bazaar among others. In recent years, the park has been recognized as a must-see Christmas destination in the metro. The park will be open to the public every day, until January 6, from 6-10 PM.

ART IS A BANG: Joe A Filipino Rock'sical

I do admire theater companies that create their own original stageplays which truly show talent and originality of Filipinos on stage. And with though many people particularly students would consider Philippine History as a boring subject, it great to see it alive and somehow makes us think about the happenings and even the controversy that made them very interesting.

Philippine Stages Foundation (PSF) staged recently their new offering for the opening of their 11th Season with JOE: A Filipino Rock'sical. Seeing the play itself was an eye opener even for a history enthusiast like me about the other side of Rizal. With the past and present weaved together with each character plays an important role in making a tribute show for the National Hero.

And what I also admire about this play is the original music which amplifies the feel of the play. Though it might overpower the feel of the rock musical, but still blends well just the like past-present plot. It was a very fun play with characters which each audience may find themselves to be part of the play. Highly recommended for students and students-at-heart who loves to know more about Jose or Joe.
