REEL DEAL: “HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 2” Checks-In Teaser Poster

Columbia Pictures has just unveiled the teaser poster art of its upcoming animated comedy “Hotel Transylvania 2,” the sequel to the 2012 worldwide hit, “Hotel Transylvania.”

The Drac pack is back for an all-new monster comedy adventure in Sony Pictures Animation's Hotel Transylvania 2! Everything seems to be changing for the better at Hotel Transylvania... Dracula’s rigid monster-only hotel policy has finally relaxed, opening up its doors to human guests. But behind closed coffins, Drac is worried that his adorable half-human, half-vampire grandson, Dennis, isn’t showing signs of being a vampire. So while Mavis is busy visiting her human in-laws with Johnny – and in for a major cultural shock of her own – “Vampa” Drac enlists his friends Frank, Murray, Wayne and Griffin to put Dennis through a “monster-in-training” boot camp. But little do they know that Drac’s grumpy and very old, old, old school dad Vlad is about to pay a family visit to the hotel. And when Vlad finds out that his great-grandson is not a pure blood – and humans are now welcome at Hotel Transylvania – things are going to get batty!

Palaro Introduces Demo Sport Beach Volleyball

Palarong Pambansa continues to evolve not only with he athletes but also the sports that are included for the events. Since new sports are developed, introduced and played, there will always consideration for a new event to be added for the games. This year, Davao Del Norte introduces Beach Volleyball as a demonstration sport for this year's Palaro.

And it also a perfect time as it falls within the summer period and the sport has a growing number of courts and events that even national and international sporting events have also adapted. There is also the demand for sand courts to be built like the Sands in SM Mall of Asia by the bay.  Creating such courts has minimal maintenance even in mountainous regions since fine sand is abundant here in the Philippines.

REEL DEAL: Supercars In The New "SPECTRE" Vlog

The latest vlog from the set of “Spectre” has just been released and focuses on a car chase in Rome between the Aston Martin DB10 and the Jaguar C-X75.

The video, which may be viewed here at https://youtu.be/neHJ311kyqI, features Director Sam Mendes, actor Dave Bautista (Mr. Hinx), Special Effects Supervisor Chris Corbould, Stunt Coordinator Gary Powell, and Action Vehicles Technical Coordinator Neil Layton.

“I love the idea of this fantastic car being in a one-on-one battle with another incredible car from Jaguar, which is similarly extraordinary actually,” says Sam Mendes. “So it’s a cat-and-mouse game through the night time streets of Rome, at great speed, between two of the fastest cars in the world.”

REEL DEAL: Young Actor David Henrie Stars In “PAUL BLART: MALL COP 2”

David Henrie, known for TV's “Wizards of Waverly Place” and playing the son on “How I Met Your Mother,” co-stars with Kevin James in Columbia Pictures' action-packed family comedy “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.”


The sequel, directed by Andy Fickman, follows the overzealous Paul Blart who attends a security guard expo in Las Vegas with his daughter. Despite being teased by casino security and other attendees, he stumbles upon a heist only he can trip up with the aid of his trusty Segway.

Paul Blart's daughter, Maya, is once again played by Raini Rodriguez. While in Vegas, Maya meets Lane, played by David Henrie. Rodriguez says it’s one more way that her character is coming of age. “We kind of have a moment together, and throughout the movie you see us kind of flirting on and off – and Paul Blart is not happy about that, because it means his baby girl is growing up,” she says.

Star Wars Fans Join Road Safety Advocacy

The Philippine Garrison of the 501st, an international organization of Star Wars fans who dress up as the villains from the film franchise, supported the cause of #SaveKidsLives.org by promoting road safety messages at the “Fans of the Force” event held at SM Southmall, May 1, 2015.

The event launched the celebration May the 4th which is considered Star Wars Day by fans of the franchise all over the world. Locally, the “holiday” is spearheaded by The Philippine Garrison of the 501st.  Known as the Bad Guys Who Do Good, members of the 501st wear their costumes at events in order to raise funds for charity, especially children's causes. 

REEL DEAL: Upgraded Segway Makes Paul Blart A 'High Rolller' In "MALL COP 2"

Every hero has his ride. The Lone Ranger had Trigger, the Ghostbusters had the ECTO-1, and legendary security guard Paul Blart (Kevin James) has his Segway personal transportation device, now improved and upgraded, in Columbia Pictures' action-packed family comedy “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.”

Blart, of course, is an expert on the machine, which required Kevin James to get reacquainted with his old friend. “It was a little bumpy at first,” he recalls. “It’s not like jumping on a bike again, where you just remember – you have to re-learn it. A couple of times, she got angry with me.”
