Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War Now the All-Time Biggest Grossing Movie in the Philippines

Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” continued to make history at the Philippine box-office as it became the All-Time Highest-Grossing Movie in the country after only six days of release.

Cementing its phenomenal run, the epic action-adventure achieved the stunning feat with a gross of P730.1 million, outpacing Disney’s 2017 live-action “Beauty and the Beast” whose entire run of P677.1 million formerly held the record.

Summer has been declared and we have our own plans in spending time either at home or outdoors. We have our own preferences, and well I would love to have both. While some may choose a side or same as mine, we always want it a convenient time to rest, relax and build our own adventure.

Train Station - A World Record Movie To Be Screened In The Philippines

I would not have imagined a film that will be made by 40 directors and still make a interesting and meaningful movie. It took years in development and collaboration for this film, Train Station, to be a reality.

Bringing in a lot of people for this project is no easy feat as it involves a lot of coordination and continuity. As it starts with an unnamed character in a Train station just described as "Man in Brown" goes on a series of decisions with varying outcomes in his future. 

This is where creativity comes to play with the individual directors who would fit the story according to the place and culture. The non-linear style of story is not new but since there is the diversity involved, things becomes unexpected. Though some parts were very short, they still had something to share to the film.

Fatherhood Becomes John Cena in Comedy "Blockers"

After demonstrating his scene-stealing comic chops in Trainwreck, actor and WWE Superstar John Cena (Ferdinand, Daddy’s Home 2) now stars as the straight-laced, overprotective dad, Mitchell, in Universal Pictures' new comedy Blockers (in Philippine cinemas May 02.)   

In the film, when three parents (Cena, Leslie Mann and Ike Barinholtz) discover their daughters’ pact to lose their virginity at prom, they launch a covert one-night operation to stop the teens from sealing the deal.  As nonstop helicoptering struggles with awkwardly letting go, the well-meaning trio shares in the raucous comedy that accompanies their kids’ biggest step into adulthood.
