DLSU’s Newest Building, the Henry Sy, Sr. Hall

DLSU culminates its 100 year anniversary with a lot of innovations in Philippine education. And one of them is opening a one of kind center for learning that is an architectural marvel but also earth friendly.

Named in honor of the Philippine retail magnate, the Henry Sy, Sr. Hall of De La Salle University is the first major building under the Centennial Renewal Plan, a long-term development master plan to rationalize the whole University’s campus setup and respond to the need for more space for research and learning.

The building was blessed on June 16, 2012 as part of the culminating centennial activities of the University. The Sy family attended the blessing.

REEL DEAL: Big Miracle - Drew Barymore Q&A

DREW BARRYMORE PLAYS “RACHEL” IN KEN KWAPIS’ BIG MIRACLE

Drew Barrymore embodies versatility, having added to her status as one of the film business’ most popular leading ladies by becoming a successful producer and director.

In her new movie Big  Miracle she plays Greenpeace activist Rachel Kramer. Rachel is what you would call an extremist. She will go to any lengths to stop big oil companies from harming the environment, including showing up uninvited at meetings with a bull horn. When Rachel (reporter Adam's ex-girlfriend) finds out about a family of trapped gray whales, she turns all of her attention to getting them freed.

Born in Culver City, California, into a revered family of actors that includes, among many others, her grandfather John Barrymore and grand-uncle Lionel Barrymore, she started performing in commercials before her first birthday.  At age six, she was chosen by director (and godfather) Steven Spielberg to co-star as Gertie in his (at the time) small-scale feature E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial.  Once the film was released to overall acclaim in 1982, the young actress had instantly become a movie star.

THE WANTED charmers Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes are back to make fan girls swoon over the globe again. The British-Irish boy band who brought us mind-blowing singles like “All Time Low”, “Glad You Came” and “Gold Forever” presents us with their latest offering --- a self-titled Special Edition EP called The Wanted. The album comprises material from The Wanted's two studio albums, The Wanted (2010) and Battleground (2011), plus the new songs “Satellite” and "Chasing the Sun". The latter is set to be the theme song for this year’s Ice Age 4: Continental Drift. No other song in the world could have been more apt this rainy season than this hot new single.
