New “POWER RANGERS” Movie Opens In March 22 In PH Cinemas

From the team of  filmmakers who introduced cool young adult blockbuster franchises such as “The Twilight Saga,” “The Fault in Our Stars” and “The Maze Runner,”  producers Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen along with Haim Saban and Brian Casentini bring the latest young adult movie franchise to watch out for – the new “Power Rangers” movie.

The latest “Power Rangers” movie follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove — and the world — is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and before it’s too late, band together as the Power Rangers.

REEL DEAL: Teen Thriller Genre Get New Treatment In "PROJECT ALMANAC"

He's one of the most prolific movie producers working today, but no amount of experience and knowhow could have prepared Brad Fuller (“The Purge,” “Ouija”) for making a found-footage film, specifically Paramount Pictures' new sci-fi thriller “Project Almanac.”

The film stars Jonny Weston as David, a super bright high school student who finds a set of plans his late father left behind – plans to build a time machine. With a little help from his best friends, Quinn (Sam Lerner) and Adam (Allen Evangelista), and his crush, Jessie (Sofia Black-D’Elia), David finishes what his father started while his younger sister Christina (Ginny Gardner) films the whole thing.

REEL DEAL: “PROJECT ALMANAC” Stars Discuss Time Travel - Found Footage

Young actors Jonny Weston (“Taken 3,” upcoming “Insurgent”) and Sofia Black-D’Elia (TV's “Gossip Girl”) talk about time-ravel, the found-footage genre and more on the set of Paramount Pictures' new sci-fi thriller “Project Almanac.”

Weston leads the cast of “Project Almanac” as David, a smart kid with a very bright future who manages to build a working time machine with his friends, but he’s not particularly confident when it comes to striking up a simple conversation with his crush, Sofia Black-D’Elia’s Jessie.

REEL DEAL: New "PROJECT ALMANAC" Poster Gets Lucky The Dark

“Today is Better the Second Time Around,” so says the newly-released poster artwork of Paramount Pictures' time-travel movie “Project Almanac” from producer Michael Bay.

The one-sheet – which shows four photos of teenagers wallowing in luck, and fifth one with a sinister vibe – echoes the presumptive theme of the film: every good luck has a hidden, dark consequence.

In the film, a brilliant high school student and his friends uncover blueprints for a mysterious device with limitless potential, inadvertently putting lives in danger. The youthful cast is composed of Jonny Weston (“Chasing Mavericks”), Sofia Black-D’Elia (TV's “Gossip Girl”), Sam Lerner (TV's “Suburgatory”), Allen Evangelista (TV's “The Secret Life of the American Teenager”) and Ginny Gardner (TV's “Glee”).
Insurge Pictures presents in association with Michael Bay a Platinum Dunes Production “Project Almanac.” Executive Producers are Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Vicki Dee Rock. Produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, the film is written by Jason Harry Pagan & Andrew Deutschman. Directed by Dean Israelite.

Opening across the Philippines on Feb. 04, 2015, “Project Almanac” is distributed by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures.
