Dingdong is celebrating a great year together with his wife Jessa Zaragoza who is also having a lot of projects with GMA Network and also launched an album with GMA Records also within the year. The couple is very happy with all things which goes beyond their expectations. Its also surprising for me that Dingdong reached his 25th year in the industry, yet he does look young (no kidding, which means I was just born when he started his career).
With due fairness, its a very big gamble for comeback artists to make it big again unless you have loyal and enduring fans through the years. And that is what I think is the strength of the couple who made a permanent mark with the public which makes connections to his audience. And having experienced successes in life and career, he does look forward with still making a difference through running for public office next year. But before that, he is thankful for all the things he is now doing especially as a officer for OPM (Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit). We are surely happy for Dingdong and Jessa for this fruitful year they are now having. :)
Dingdong Successful 25th Year in the Music
Dingdong Avanzado is one of the biggest comeback stories of the year.
He not only saw the release of his new album Download he has also conquered the concert scene once again. Not bad at all for an artist who is celebrating his 25th anniversary as a recording artists and as an entertainer.
"I'm so overwhelmed," Dingdong says about his successful 25th year in showbiz. " I didn't expect things to turn out as well as they have. I just feel so blessed."
Download is Dingdong's first solo album in almost a decade (His last album was a duest record with wife Jessa Zaragoza released in 2006). His new album's success is especially noteworthy because it contains all original songs, including the title track, which he co-wrote Ogie Alcasid and Noel Cabangon, and the follow up singlle "Limutin Ka", which features his colaboration with current rap sensation Gloc-9. "It feels so great to be back on the charts, especially with original music," he says. The album also gave Dingdong a Best Male Pop Artist nomination at the recent Star Awards for Music his first in years.
Dingdong succesful return to the concert scene came via his sold-out annversary concert, 3.25 held at the Music Museum last November 9, 2012. This title reffers to his breakthrough hit "Tatlong Bente Singko" released 25 years ago. The concert was made more special by his special guests, each of whom had an important role in his career including Rachel Alejandro (for wholm he wrote the classic "Paalam Na") and wife Jessa Zaragoza and daugther Jayda. The concert also earned him a nomination for "Best Concert Performance by a Male Artist" in this year's ALIW AWARDS.
"I'm really thankful that I am still able to do what I love doing after all these years," he says "I thank all my fans for being there to support me, and the new ones for accepting my music. I also thank Viva for believing in me. Of course, I thank myt friends and family for providing the love and inspiration that keeps me going."
After 25 years, he looks back and feels a deep sense of gratitude and fullfillment. he says, to him "it was never about just making it Big! It was about MAKING IT LAST."
