Asian Hospital hosts free wellness lectures

With healthy employees comes a happier and more productive workplace.

Today, companies invest in their employees’ health as this helps them retain quality staff, reduce absences and increase in engagement and satisfaction. One way to achieve these is through wellness education programs.

The Asian Hospital and Medical Center (AHMC) provides corporate wellness lectures as one of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. The lectures are designed to be fun and interactive while educating the participants to lead a healthier lifestyle. Free screenings such as clinical breast exam, nutrition counseling, among others are also offered by AHMC for free.

Lecture topics include overall wellness, breast cancer awareness, ergonomics, stress management, diabetes management, prevention of heart diseases, sleep disorder, smoking cessation, obesity, weight management and nutrition.

Topics would vary depending on the company’s requests. They may also be based on the results of a company’s annual physical examination for employees.

AHMC provides the speakers for the corporate wellness lectures who are mostly doctors, nurses, physical therapists and nutritionists.

Last year, AHMC successfully conducted 12 wellness lectures with a total of 385 attendees and partnered in 12 wellness events with a total of 1,383 participants.
