For the third straight year, Fi360 ties up with the Asia Pacific Association of Fiduciary Studies (APAFS) to bring the prestigious Accredited Investment Fiduciary ™ (AIF®) Training in Manila on November 5 and 6, 2013.
The AIF® Training is one of the side events of the 13th Pacific region Investment Conference to be held on November 7 and 8 at the New World Hotel in Makati City, Philippines.
The AIF® Training Program is an in-depth, two day classroom-based course, which covers all of the components of a comprehensive investment process and related standards of care. Successful completion of the program prepares participants to take the AIF® examination and enable them to earn the AIF® designation. Last year, over 30 participants took the AIF® Training Program in Manila, Philippines.
Completing the program enables the participants to: articulate the legal and regulatory environment impacting the fiduciary; Determine the prudent process that an investment fiduciary should follow; conduct a fiduciary review; prepare investment policy statements; implement an investment strategy; conduct due diligence on investment advisers, financial planners, and fund managers; implement socially responsible investment strategies; monitor and supervise the activities of an investment programme; analyze an investment programme’s expenses and fees; deliver performance measurement reports; and customize services to different market segments.
The AIF® Training Program enables Filipino fiduciaries to acquire a structured, comprehensive decision making process needed to fulfil one’s responsibility to their client’s best interest. Recent takers of the prestigious training are officials from the Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC).
"We are glad to work with Fi360 for the third straight year, bringing in the AIF® Training at the 13th PRIC. APAFS has been committed in raising the bar of understanding and standards of practice among fiduciaries in the region and boarding in the AIF® Training is one of our steps in fulfilling this mission" shares Mr. Daniel Roland, APAFS Executive
Director. "The Philippines is a good venue to host again the AIF® Training because of the increasing interest in Philippine investing and the increasing number of requests from a number of Philippine-based trust firms".
On its 13th year, the PRIC remains to be the biggest investment conference yet to be organized by APAFS and gathers numerous fund managers, investment experts, and finance professionals from different countries under one venue to discuss fresh insights and information about the current market trends and to address industry issues. Aside from the AIF® Training, the 13th PRIC also showcase the Fiduciary Essentials™ Certification (FE®) Program to be held on November 4.
