What To Watch This Week: Heroes, Villains, and Bad Vacations

Hey, since I have been encountering a lot of great series lately I would like to talk about them in with a weekly special I call "What To Watch This Week," it might be a long title but it self-explanatory what it features. We will be talking about upcoming series, premieres, and also movies that are coming in the next few days. Today we will be have two series that will make its way to Philippine viewers from the US.

Legends of Tomorrow

The DC Comics universe is indeed a vast multiverse to get into, and while we are waiting for Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice, they paved another live action collection of heroes (and villains) with Legends of Tomorrow. From the makers of Arrow and The Flash, it spins off from the crossover series which introduces the heroes Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) , The Atom (Brandon Routh), White Canary (Caity Lotz), Firestorm (Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein and Franz Drameh as Jefferson "Jax" Jackson), Hawkman (Falk Hentschel), and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renée). They are also joined by "former" Villains Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heatwave (Dominic Purcell).

They teamed up together to finally end Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) who will take over the world in the future. How they were brought together and how will they work with each other is something to look forward for the series. DC Comic's Legends of Tomorrow airs on Warner TV in the Philippines January 22, 9PM , same day as the US release. It also within the return of Arrow and iZombie

Mad Dogs

What would be the perfect vacation? A beach villa in the tropical Central America with your friends, or at least your acquaintances. It seems everything is perfect and you might want to live there forever, well you might not. This highly-acclaimed series of 2015, Mad Dogs will be available on the video streaming service HOOQ with the complete collection starting January 22 worldwide, and 23 in the Philippines.

Mad Dogs is a remake of a British TV series from 2011.  Starring Steve Zahn and Micheal Imperioli, this mind blowing thriller opens in a gorgeous Belizean villa where the gang is gathered to celebrate the early retirement of their buddy Milo, played by Billy Zane.  Things quickly spiral into a labyrinthine of lies, deception and murder that will put the best of friendships to the ultimate test.

This thriller brings a interesting string of events that are balanced with intensity of drama, wit, and suspense. Though it revolves around a group of friends and the vicinity of Belize, it engages the viewers with the complexity of events as well as the interesting characters which will play key players in the plot.
