Uniqlo Launches Limited Edition Gundam Shirts For Its 40th Anniversary

The global celebration of the most loved mecha series is celebrating its 40th anniversary worldwide and now has partnered with global clothing brand Uniqlo for a special limited edition shirt series which will be available in their stores in the Philippines. Gundam is known for their intricate mechanized forms which has gone through many storylines and even a global obsession for building them with Gunpla.

The original mobile suit gundam series has inspired so many in terms of the complications of mechanics, weaponry, fighting styles, and even politics. Even I was also drawn to it when I was little with the Gundam Wing series, which paved way for me to learn and watch other stories such as Gundam G, Gundam SD, and Gundam Unicorn.

“DRAGON BALL SUPER: BROLY” Opens January 30 Exclusive In SM Cinemas Nationwide

The most anticipated and latest in the anime action Dragon Ball franchise starts January 30  as “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” opens exclusively in SM Cinemas.

“Dragon Ball Super: Broly” is a new legend penned by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, the first film in the new Super series, and the 20th anniversary film. Because of this bounty of importance, the production style of this film can best be summed up in Director Nagamine’s words: “If Goku has undergone an upgrade, then the visuals must be upgraded as well.” If Goku will always love to fight and become stronger, we need to think outside the box and create a contemporary, high quality Dragon Ball worthy of him. In other words, the stronger Goku gets, the harder we must work to express that evolution. The evolution displayed in Dragon Ball Super: Broly is not just a memorial to over 30 years of legendary titles, but also a challenge to depart from the films that came before it.

REEL DEAL: Naruto Road To Ninja on SM Cinema

SM Cinema will now show your favorite Anime movies on the big screen! And one of them will be shown this April with Naruto Road To Ninja. With this movie, Naruto fans like me are very pleased to see the movie shown here in the country which usually would wait for the DVD version of it or unofficial subs from the internet.  This would be the 6th Naruto Movie overall, and 3rd under the Shipuuden series. The movie premiered in Japan July 2012 and is now the highest-grossing Naruto movie at ¥ 1.46 billion (US$18.3 million).

The movie is tells the events Sixteen years ago (in the naruto timeline), a gigantic demon called Nine Tails was secretly released by an unknown ninja. The Nine Tails caused grave destruction to the village of Konohagakure. In order to save the village, Minato Namikaze and his wife Kushina Uzumaki—who was the jinchuuriki at the time of the attack—sealed away the demon inside their new born son Naruto Uzumaki. This act cost them both their lives leaving Naruto alone to grow and survive in the ninja world.
