Your favorite cinema is now app-cesible! Skip the long lines and go straight to your movie – SM Cinema launches its free app for quicker reservations and paperless movie tickets.

SM Cinema developed its very own app that allows you to find your preferred movie at the nearest theatre, reserve or purchase your tickets in seconds and directly enter the cinema through a QR code that you could scan at the gate. You can avoid arriving early, waiting in line, or printing your ticket at the booth and focus on the movie magic instead.

Minions Party at IMAX!

SM Cinema and Snack Time celebrates the Minions 2 Movie at IMAX! In anticipation of the most awaited “Minions” movie mania, SM Cinema’s official snack bar, Snack Time, filled the IMAX theatre with kiddie fans of the adorable banana-loving creatures and hosted a free afternoon ba-ba-bash of jam-packed activities, endless snacks, fun prizes and loot bags. 

Prequel to the highly successful movies, “Despicable Me” and “Despicable Me 2”, “Minions’ is expected to be one of the movie highlights of the year. In celebration of the lovable yellow underlings, Snack Time dressed up the IMAX theatre where chockfull of various booths and snack stalls welcomed the kids. The young and young at heart were treated to activities such as face-painting, balloon twisting, games like “pin the goggles on the minion” and “bring me”.  Snack Time also gave away prizes to kids who came with the best minion inspired outfit. Guests were filled to the brim as they chose from the wide array of Snack Time nibbles and snacks from partner brands Havaianas, Nestle, Monde Nissin, Sunkist, Tic Tac and Nutella. Lucky fans also got to meet and take pictures with their favourite minion. One highlight of the event, Snack Time launched their limited Minions merchandise such as Minions tumblers with toppers and Minions buckets with popcorn which are available in SM Cinema branches nationwide. Tennis All-Stars Makes its Way to Mall of Asia Arena in December 2015

All roads lead to Mall of Asia Arena on December 6-8, 2015 for the second leg of the international tennis event that brings current, legends and rising stars like Nadal, Williams, Tsonga, Ivanovic, Monfils, Hantuchova, Berdych, Kyrgios and over 30 other tennis superstars to the country. 

Following a very successful 3-day tennis tournament with over 30,000 fans at the Mall of Asia Arena last November 2014, the International Premiere Tennis League (IPTL) --Dubbed as the tennis all-stars--  will be bringing top-ranked and multi-awarded tennis players to the Philippines for its second season. “The Philippines will be another exciting leg of the IPTL’s tour,” says IPTL’s VP of Operations, Abhishek Ponia. The Philippines had a great record in audience attendance last year, proving that the Philippines is a tennis-enthused country and fitting host for the IPTL. Now bigger and better, the IPTL has added a fifth team to its roster, promising that a wider universe of world-renown tennis athletes will arrive in the country to play against the Philippine Mavericks. Also making their way to the Philippines are tennis players: Ivanisevic, Moya, Pliskova, Bopanna, Santoro, Mladenovic, and Nestor.

Experience The Avengers Age Of Ultron At SM North EDSA The Block!

Avengers Age of Ultron is just a few days away and to bring more excitement to fans, SM City North EDSA opens the only Avengers themed exhibit in the Philippines that will run from April 20 to May 16, 2015. 

Showcasing life-sized statues of Ultron, Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, and the anticipated Hulkbuster, made the atrium an attraction for selfies and activities for the Marvel heroes. The opening was attended by officials from SM North EDSA, SM Lifestyle Entertainment Inc, and also got children from The Center for Health Improvement and Life Development (ChildHaus) Foundation to spend the day with their heroes giving hope for those children who are experiencing sickness.

Now Michael is off to the US to compete in the Hilton HHonors Skate America to be held in Chicago Illinois in October 22-26.Michael was one of the select few invited by the organizing committee of the Hilton Hhonors to compete in this prestigious event. Only World Top Ranking skaters, which Martinez ranks 27th, are requested to attend the competition.
