Watch the record-breaking, highest-grossing animated film of all time, “Ne Zha 2,” as it arrives in the PH on March 12

Ne Zha 2, the animated sequel that took the world by storm is finally arriving in the Philippines on March 12. The follow up to the hit fantasy-adventure film, Ne Zha, Ne Zha 2 has already surpassed multiple records, becoming the highest-grossing animated film of all time at US$1.9 billion. It’s also the first non-American, non-English language animated film to hold the title. Ne Zha 2 also currently holds the record for the highest-grossing film in a single territory, achieving this goal in less than two weeks of its release.

Nezha 2 continues after Ne Zha and Ao Bing have their bodies destroyed by heavenly lightning, surviving as spirits. Ne Zha’s mentor, Master Taiyi, rebuilds their corporeal form using the Sacred Lotus, but as they are recovering, new challenges arise that threaten the balance of the realms.

Ne Zha and Ao Bing are reincarnations of two opposite components of the Chaos Pearl, with Ne Zha being born of the Demon Orb, and Ao Bing the Spirit Pearl. The Demon Orb has given Ne Zha supernatural powers and control of flame, matching his chaotic and rude personality. On the other hand, the Spirit Pearl has given Ao Bing powers of ice, that complement his calm and kind nature.

Meet the cast of the thrilling zombie apocalypse movie “Love You as the World Ends”

Kamen Rider stars Takeuchi Ryoma and Takahashi Fumiya are Hibiki and Yamato in the dystopian zombie film Love You as the World Ends. Based on the hit  horror-television series co-produced by Nippon TV and Hulu Japan, Love You As The World Ends ties in all the intertwining stories of a group of survivors trying to stay alive during a zombie outbreak.

Takeuchi Ryoma plays the lead role as Hibiki, a mechanic before the world was plunged into chaos. Hibiki was about to propose to his partner, Kurumi, when the deadly Golem outbreak began. Fighting for survival, Kurumi tragically succumbs to the Golem virus, but miraculously gives birth to their child, Mirai. Mirai’s unusual childbirth piques the interest of researchers who are looking for the cure to the Golem virus, and kidnaps, hoping to further their cause. Hibiki must now climb up Utopia, a refuge from the Golems, to get to the researchers and save his child.

Humans turn to zombies in the apocalyptic movie “Love You As The World Ends,” in PH cinemas on June 12

Love and determination are put to the test in the movie, based on the hit horror-television series co-produced by Nippon TV and Hulu Japan, Love You As The World Ends. The film centers around a group of survivors as they try to stay alive during an apocalyptic zombie outbreak, and maybe even find a cure. Directed by Shintaro Sugawara, who also directed the original series that topped the Hulu charts for 2 consecutive years.

Love You As The World Ends follows the journey of survivors Hibiki Mimiya, who had to go through the ordeal of losing his partner Kurumi Ogasawara in the series. Along with a group of men also searching for their loved ones, Hibiki is hellbent on rescuing the only person he has left, his daughter Mirai. Mirai was kidnapped and brought to Utopia, a refuge from the zombies they call Golems. Once a beacon of hope, it’s now dilapidated with the group of researchers working on a cure huddled at the top, away from the masses.

It’s a one for all, all for one war as “Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween- Destiny” arrives in PH cinemas on January 17

Gear up for full battle action as Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween- Destiny arrives in Philippine cinemas on January 17. Based on the best-selling manga, “Tokyo Revengers” by Ken Wakui, this action-packed film takes us once again to a time traveling quest with Takemichi to prevent the current timeline as he failed to prevent Hinata being killed.

The much awaited sequel sees the cast reprise their roles as the battle continues. Takumi Kitamura plays the protagonist Takemichi Hanagaki. Formerly adrift and purposeless, he travels to the past to what he claims is his peak era, to a violent event known as Bloody Halloween, to prevent the sequence of events that lead to the future murder of his beloved Hinata Tachibana, played by Imada Mio. 

Tokyo Revengers: Bloody Halloween- Destiny will closely be followed by its sequel, Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween - Decisive Battle. Catch the end of the thrilling two-part adventure as the sequel opens soon in PH cinemas on February 7.
