Joey Albert, Marco Sison In Olongapo City V-Day Concert

It’s going to be an unforgettable evening of nostalgia and romance when two of OPM’s enduring icons, Joey Albert and Marco Sison, team up for an intimate Valentine’s Day concert dubbed ‘Golden Voices, Timeless Memories,’ on February 14, 2025, 8:00pm at Hall C, Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center, Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

Pop chanteuse Joey Albert is best remembered for her sentimental hits such as ‘Tell Me,’ ‘Points of View,’ ‘Iisa Pa Lamang,’ ‘I Remember The Boy,’ ‘It’s Over Now,’ ‘Yakapin Mo Ako,’ ‘Over and Over,’ and many more. 

For his part, debonair balladeer Marco Sison’s iconic hits include ‘Make Believe,’ ‘My Love Will See You Through,’ ‘Si Aida, Si Lorna O Si Fe,’ ‘Always,’ ‘I’ll Face Tomorrow,’ ‘All Of My Life,’ ‘Paano Kung Wala Ka Na,’ and ‘Will Our Love Survive.’ 

GenXers, millennials and lovey dovey couples alike will fall in love all over again and sing along with the timeless hits that defined the heyday of OPM from the late ‘70s to the mid-‘80s.

The Stage Is Set For Music and Laughter: A Show Tribute To Rico J. Puno

The sudden passing of OPM legend Rico J. Puno came as a major shock to many, and mourned his demise.

Puno, regarded as one of the prime movers of OPM, wowed and left us with a line up of popular national anthems such as his unque version of Barbra Streisand’s “The Way We Were," “Kapalaran,” “Buhat,” “Macho Gwapito,” “Lupa,” “May Bukas Pa,” “Ang Tao'y Marupok,” “Magkasuyo Buong Gabi” and "You and I."

When singer Tosca Puno was asked about the concert of his father on November 23 at the Theatre at Solaire, she said, “I know my Papa will say - the show must go on!".  It was announced recently that “Music and Laughter: Sana Tatlo Ang Puso Ko with Giselle Sanchez and Marissa Sanchez, will push through to pay tribute to the Total Entertainer.

Joining the show are Marco Sison, Nonoy Zuniga, Nanette Inventor and Eric Nicolas, with the special participation of Tosca Puno and Rox Puno.

The original kilabot ng Kolehiyala (College girl's heartthrob), Alejandro is best remembered for such songs as Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika, Panakip Butas, and Nakapgtataka.

Sison started his singing career after his triumph on a singing contest in Channel 7's noontime variety show " Student Canteen" in the late 70's and early 80's. Being one of the classic balladeers to have captured the true vocal essence of OPM in the 80's, Sison was responsible for the songs My Love Will See you Through (his biggest thus far), Si Aida si Lorna o si Fe, I'll Face You Tomorrow, Always Make Believe.
